Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum covers almost all the basic knowledge about the engineering technology area. The curriculum is a total of 8 semesters.each semester consist of 5-6 theory papers and 2 practical papers. Every semseter gradually increase the level of education throughout. Each semester ends with a semester exam for each subjects along with the lab exams for the according semester

Placement Experience

Yes. The college itself has setup a placement cell for the placement assistance for students and the cell has been workibg well and providing assistance to the students for tjier placements and internships

College Events

A lot of events like freshers day, college day, festive celebrations like onam, christmas etc is celebrated each year in the college. There's also tech fests, night study sessions for exams are also conducted

Fee Structure And Facilities

The overall fee structure is feasible for students and they provide scholarships for the deserved candidates. The management always make sure to consider the fee range is always within the govt said fee range and they allow fee reduction to the economically backward students

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly scholarship for yearly whole pass students for an amount of 25,000 is available for students and college assists the eligible students to avail the same. The students who pass all the papers in the 2 semesters for the year can apply for this and most likely, all of the applicants avail this

Campus Life

The college conducts sports days each year for the students and they compete in various competitions. The lab facilities are arrannged seperatly for each branches and they have the best equipments intalled in them

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni conducts old students re unioin and they also helps the college activities within thier reach. They provide informations regarding the possible openings for the fresher passouts and they always maintain a relationship with the faculty and the management

Admission

I've got admitted to jai bharat college of management and engineering technology, Arakkapady via kerala state entrance exam scheme to my college. After securing a rank in the entrance exam within the eligibility range, I have applied via the single window entry procedure by kerala govt and opted for my college along with some other college options. I got selection to this college on the first allotment itself.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
