Remarks
Everything has good and bad with it. Whereas the faculties are very good and helpful, the student and accounts section staff is next level of attitude. Being in the centre of city the space for furtur expansion and developement is not there. Still it has the biggest campus than any other college in pune.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very good. Its ensured that actual industry practises are being folled in the curriculum. In each semester after first 40 days a teat of 20 marks is conducted then after next 40 days again a test of 20 marks is conducted and the endsemester is of 60 marks. This is the rough pattern for exams of each subject.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are fair enough. Being one of the best engineering colleges in country COEP has a very well developed training and placement cell. Also companies give internships to many 3rd year students.
College Events
Many events are being celebrated in the campus amongst which mindspark, zest, impressions,regatta & gathering has got the sensation of students. Mindspark is the annual technical festival of COEP and the 2nd biggest technical festival in maharashtra. Zest is the annual sports festival of COEP Impressions is the annual cultural festival of coep And regatta is the oldest festival of coep with a history of 90 years which is conducted by the boat club of COEP.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is quite expensive for open category students but for category students its very much feasible. The nominal fee for open category students is Rs90, 000. But various scholarships are also provided by government, private companies & the alumni of COEP.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government gives many scholarships. Also college has tie up with many companies that gives student scholarship.many companies like Siemens,Schindler, give scholarships to students. Many alumni support students with scholarship.
Campus Life
If you are concerned with extra curricular activities sports and labs You can't find any other college better than COEP. There are 42 clubs which include technical clubs, sports clubs, society oriented clubs, cultural clubs. All the information about clubs is given on the COEP's web page. Technical clubs in coep have got very developed labs & are open to students for 24 hrs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastucture is quite good but capacity of hostel for boys is just about 20% of total boys studying in college. Hostel infrastructure can be rated at 6/10 When it comes to cleanliness it is 5/10.
Alumni/Alumna
COEP has its alumni spread all over the globe beacause of its rich history. The great engineer Sir Mokshgundam Vishveshwaraiyya on whose birth anniversary Engineer's day is celebrated in India is the alumni of COEP. Another thing for which COEP is best known for the helpful nature of seniors towards juniors. You can easily have guidance about anything from any random senior.
Admission
Based on MH-CET score which was good I managed to score more than cutoff & Then I had to fill the details on Derectorate of technical education maharashtra site and a preference form had been filled by me. According to the preference filled by me.The highest in the order which has cut off less than my score will be alloted to me
Faculty
Faculty of college of engineering pune are helpfull in many aspects. Despite of knowledga they also help their students in developing their interests. Highly skilled professors are there for teaching and the conduction of practicals.
