Remarks

College reputation still hold good. Some good company come every year and hire student of relatively good package. But it lack it's infrastructure and lab update. Some modification are necessary in exam pattern and hostel facilities. college administration might consider the problem and difficulties faced by all india category student which is outside of Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is based on IIT MADRAS but some improvisation is being done as college is autonomous. In this college the toughest part is it's exam pattern as you don't have any options for your internal marks improvement.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are good in software field as many companies come to hire aspirants for their software and networking skill but great lack of job opportunities in core branch like mechanical, civil and electrical engineering. college doesn't provide any internship not even help student in that matter.

College Events

2.5

Many events are organised and celebrated like cultural fest like sargam, tech fest like DISHANA. Onam celebration on grand scale. Recently Tedx CUSAT was organised. Many hostel fest are also organised like sahara hostel fest. Some science fest like scienza.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Actually fee structure vary according to the category in which you have admitted. Like for all india general category it's around 45k per semester. For NRI it much more, for keralite general category its around 23k, for OBC its around 3k and for SC & ST its 0.25k.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facility are provided to SC & ST student and economically backward student but this is also for keralite student only. Non keralite student have only one facility of government education loan which are run by their respective state government. TEQUIP-III provide some fund for industrial visit and internship programme.

Campus Life

2.5

Various sports activities are organised like cricket, football, Tebal tennis, Badminton Basketball. various athletic events like 100m, 200m,400m run. are also organised. Inter college sport activities are also organised. Lab activities are included according to the syllabus mandatory. No any competition activities are organised based on lab.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

It's really hard to get hostel for all india general category type student as there is no any separate hostel provided. As the campus is politics driven major portion of seats are allocated to keralite student. For general category girl also face the same problem, they even can't get hostel. You have to live in private house or flat and pay heavy rent.

Alumni/Alumna

Honestly speaking i can say, it depend on your bond with respective alumni and senior. college partly organised any alumni meet or any activities to interact with them. It does not happen on regular basis. From last three year only one alumni meet happen.

Admission

I got admitted via CAT exam conducted by CUSAT at all india level. Admission are based on rank you acquire in entrance exam. You have to be in 2k for general category but you have to be within 1k for branch like computer science or fire and safety engineering.

Faculty

3

It is of great concern as many faculty are hired on contract basis lack communication skills and teaching skill. Some professor are really good which are on permanent basis, they are helpful. But lack of permanent faculty are of great concern.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
