Remarks

The infrastructure of the college is quite good. There is a hostel facility in the college where brotherhood is quite good. The academics here are quite good and the academic fee is least among all Engineering Colleges across the world.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good but a load of study is more in the third year of the Engineering course. The exam pattern is like 2 Internal tests and 1 Semester Exams having weightage 30% and 70% respectively.

Placement Experience

Placements and Job opportunities are quite well for any college. Its about 42 LPA highest package last year for the Computer Science and Engineering Department having an average package of 19.8 College doesn't provide internship but companies like Amazon, Microsoft give internship to the students.

College Events

There are many events organized in our college like Our Technical Fest named Srijan, Cultural Fest named Sanskriti, Junior Welcoming fresher named U-turn, E-cell organized Hult Prize, Jadavpur University Model United Nations, and many more are there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is too much feasible as it is the college having the less fee for engineering all over the world and has too Good academics along with that. Here a student from each background can read without any hassle.

Fees and Financial Aid

Alumni association Scholarship and Student freeship are provided by the college to the poor and the meritorious students after verifying their background. There is no loan facility required as per my view because the college fee is very low.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are not that much efficient but the labs, sports are quite good. We are provided with the sports equipment whenever we need it just by showing our identity card. Labs assistance is also helpful.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is quite good, the brotherhood there is also good. It is just beside the Jadavpur Police Station so the security is also quite good. The fooding is also quite well and is more beneficial for Nonvegetarian students. Yes, I have opted for the hostel.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are quite helpful. The alumni network is quite good they provide a very good amount for our technical and cultural fest. There is also an alumni association in the college that provide scholarship to poor and meritorious students.

Admission

I have qualified WBJEE entrance exam which was held in 2018 and got rank 1456 based on merit I got Civil Engineering stream as my subject. Firstly you have to apply for the WBJEE entrance exam and then based on rank and your choice streams are assigned.

Faculty

The faculty of the college are quite qualified and the way of their teaching is also quite good. They have done their masters and P.hd from IITs. Because of the academics, our college has 6th position in the University ranking in India.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
