Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was pretty decent and elaborate. It covered a wide variety of topics and their practical applications. The practical classes were the most fun, while the guest lectures and seminars were an added plus for us. Guest lectures were more or less centred around the latest advancements and applications happening around us.

Placement Experience

IIIT-Kottayam started its first academic session in the year 2015. And the placements on that account are still pretty great. But there is still a lot to improve.

Campus Life

We will be having all the facilities there, i.e., Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, sports, games, medical facilities and many more. We will have all the facilities that are given to an institute of national importance. This is also being referred to as an institute of national importance by the government of India and MHRD.

Alumni/Alumna

We have students who are also the members of Microsoft MSP, IEEE and many other prestigious organisations. Talking about the internship, the third year batch will be going for the summer intern in 2018 in various companies.

Admission

The admission is on the basis of entrance test. I secured a good rank in the JEE Main exam, that’s why my name was in the second list of the college. I still believe that I could have done better, had I given it another try. But my parents couldn’t afford that.

Faculty

Faculty was pretty great and supportive. They all were adequately qualified and had a plethora of industry experience. They helped us with exam notes and doubt resolution.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. The placements here is quite promising particularly for computer science department. Over 70 to 80 percentage seniors secured scholarships. Major recruiters are firms like Tata , infosys , Wipro , IBM etc. The highest salary previous year was around 9 lakhs.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.

The college has a very attractive campus and it is very new so the facilities are also relatively new. no placements but good to explore your interests

The only reason I choosed this college is because of it placements but now they are worst for my batch almost 70 percent people are unplaced. and i choosed this college because i wanted cse and either i could get lower branches in top colleges or top branchs in low colleges. so i preffered choosing cse. i applied for NIT Suratkal, NIT Warangal mechanical BUt i felt CSE Would be much better so i end up landing here. the other reason why i preferad my college is because of its beautiful campus. yes i got rejected from nit surathkal cse because my jee rank was low...Read More
