Remarks

College is best for pursuing b.tech for a middle class students because this college is better than many colleges which are expensive. It has the best placement in the area and it provides many opportunity for the student to get a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is indeed very good as we are told in the beginning itself that we won't get any big holiday in these 4 years as these are the most important years of our life. And our daily monday to friday classes are there from 9 am to about 4:30 pm where we get to learn a healthy deep knowledge about the course and there is regular exams such as sessional test 1 and 2 in a time span of about 1 months and then after pre university papers and then the final university paper.

Placement Experience

5

Our college is a well renowned college in the north region of our country for the best placements as it gives each and every student a lot of opportunity to sit in a multiple of companies and get a job. About 600 companies visit every year to our college for placement purpose and highest package till dats is 35 lacs. Talking about internship yes our college do provide intership programs in collaboration with different different companies and helps us to explore our technical knowledge.

College Events

4.5

Our college is filled with a number of events throughout the year. I think about every month there is some good big events happening here and various small events keep taking place. The management of college takes care of the extra curricular activity of the students and they organise many events like parivartan , jashan etc etc every year so that students get an opportunity to enjoy their college life.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of our college is minimal in comparison to other college. The facilities and cleanliness that the college provides us under such minimal fees is to be appreciated. The infrastructure is just awesome and the college is much better in every aspects from other colleges which is almost two times expensive than ours.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is various schloarships provided by our college such as schloarship for sc st students or for different state students and also for the meritorious students who have a percentage of 80 and above during their 12th.

Campus Life

5

The College is filled with activities. Students are always excited to participate in different activities. And talking about the labs its good and all the required equipments are available in the labs.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes i m a hosteller. Talking about the infrastructure it is good. Not very great neither very old. Every room is installed with a cooler which is something unexpected in such minimal fees. Bt to be true mess foods is little less than good foods. In a week only 4 days we get good food to eat other days there is some or the other food which is not eatable.

Alumni/Alumna

The best part of this college is that the seniors are very helpful and are always ready to help their juniors. Seniors respect the feelings of juniors and they never make us feel low and keep motivating every time whenever we are going through any such problems.

Admission

I got admission through the process of university where i was selected on the basis of jee mains marks and then when i came to college then i was said that i should have at least 60 % marks in 12th then only i am eligible for the admission

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college is good. Few of them are phd holders and others are though not a phdian bt they indeed have years of teaching experience and there experience helps us to grasp what they say in a better manner.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
