Remarks

College pays more focus on NCC and NSS activities. Other extracurricular activities include some regular festival celebrations like teachers day celebration, annual day celebration, NCC day, etc. Activities like workshop on Women Empowerment were also a regular part of our calendar.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am a B. Sc. (Hons.) graduate from the Sabang Sajani Kanta Mahavidyalaya. Mahavidyalaya is a place allowing students to fulfill their dreams of higher education. Many students who can’t afford the premium fee of private colleges, it is a dream place for them. Although, I believe they should increase the number of seats.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One year fee was 2300 INR, which is pretty much nominal. Students can afford college thanks to the state government.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mahavidyalaya allows fees concession to the poor and deprived as well as meritorious students. Extraordinary sport persons are also exempted from tuition fees.

Campus Life

3.5

Location is good , situated on the side of the main road and in a calm quiet lush green environment. Infrastructure and buildings are good with vast campus, adjoining playground and a pond.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility is also available for the students of the college. There are two boys hostel and one girls hostel. The hostel allotment is on the basis of merit list, which the superintendent decides. Lot of politics goes on with the allotment of hostel seat. You have more chances of getting a hostel if you better connections, or as they say “better reference”.

Alumni/Alumna

Many alumni of the college also visit the college to deliver lectures and share their success stories. Most of the times, students end up learning from them, especially when a student gets a chance to have a one on one discussion with them.

Admission

Admission is on the basis of the merit list prepared by the university on the basis of the academic qualification of a student. The admission process is hassle free and the administration department is supportive during the admission process. Although there were a lot of applicants.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.
