BITSAT cutoff CSE 2025: Check Expected and Previous cutoff of BITS Pilani | BITS Goa | BITS Hyderabad

BITS Pilani, the Governing body of BITSAT is yet to release the BITSAT cutoff 2025 for CSE branch. Based on previous years, it is expected that the BITSAT cutoff 2025 for CSE at BITS Pilani will be around 325-330 and it will be around 295-300 for BITS Hyderabad, 297-302 for BITS Goa. The actual may vary depending on the difficulty level of the exam, seat availability and number of candidates appeared for the exam.

• The expected safe score for CSE branch is 350+ for BITS Pilani, 320-340 for BITS Goa and 300-310 for BITS Hyderabad.
• In 2024, the Cutoff for CSE branch was 327 for BITS Pilani, 302 for BITS Goa and 298 for BITS Hyderabad.
• Out of the total 2,970 seats across all three campuses, the B.E. Computer Science branch will have 150 seats at BITS Pilani, 190 at BITS Goa, and 150 at BITS Hyderabad.

What is the expected cutoff for BITSAT 2025 CSE?

As per the previous years cutoff trends, it is expected the cutoff for BITSAT 2025 CSE will be in the range of 325-330 for BITS Pilani, 297-302 for BITS Goa, and 295-300 for BITS Hyderabad. These cutoffs shows, there is a high level of competition for BITS Pilani as its been in demand for top scorers. So candidates need to aim for a 350-310+ score to stay in the safe zone to secure a seat at CSE branch.

BITS Pilani CSE Cut-off Trend (2021–2025)

The 2021 - 2025 BITS Pilani cutoff trend reflects difference in BITSAT total marks and cutoff relating to alterations in the BITSAT aggregate marks and the competition level of individuals.

• The total marks of the 2021 and 2022 exam was 450 and CSE cutoff was about 364 - 372.
• The BITSAT total marks changed to 390 from 2023 onwards leading to a reduction in the cutoff scores.
• In 2023 the exam cutoff was 320 which could be due to the level of difficulty and new exam format.
• 2024 witnessed a marginal increase in the cutoff as it was 331 and the maximum score was 390.
• In 2025 the expected cutoff ranges between 327 - 330 indicating that candidates must score around 84 – 85 % of total marks to get a seat at BITS Pilani for CSE branch.

How many marks are required for CSE in BITS Pilani?

In BITS Pilani, the BITSAT cutoff CSE 2025 is maximum at 350+. However, to get admission in BITS Goa the cutoff for candidates ranges between 320 - 340. In BITS Hyderabad the BITSAT cutoff CSE 2025 is further lower as it lies within the range of 300 - 310.

BITSAT Final Cutoffs – B.E. Computer Science (2017–2025)

The trend relating to BITSAT cutoffs for B.E in CSE across BITS Pilani, BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad shows a fluctuating trend from 2017 - 2025.

• The total exam marks was 450 from 2017 to 2020 and highest cutoff marks was around 372 - 383 at BITS Pilani. The cutoffs at BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad were in mid-330s to low-350s.
• Although in 2021 the total marks was 450 there was a decline in the cutoff. It could be due to changes in exam dynamics or due to COVID-19 pandemic.
• From 2022 a 390-mark format was introduced in the exam and this change impacted BITSAT total marks and cutoff scores. In 2022 BITSAT cutoff CSE at BITS Pilani was 320 i.e. around 82 % of the total exam marks. This trend was similar to that of the earlier years’ trends.
• During 2023 BITSAT cutoff at BITS Pilani reached 331. In Goa and Hyderabad campuses the cutoffs were 295 and 284 respectively.
• 2024 witnessed a slight decline at Pilani as the cutoff was 327. During the year the cutoffs in Goa and Hyderabad campuses were 301 and 298 respectively indicating better performance than the previous year and rising competition.

The consistency in performance shows that there is a steady competition among these campuses and BITS Pilani has been leading.

CSE Cutoff vs Other Popular Branches at BITS Pilani

The BITSAT cutoff CSE in 2024 was 372 and this indicates a high demand for the course among candidates. This shows that BITSAT cutoff CSE 2025 may also be in a similar range due to its demand.

• BITSAT cutoff for ECE was 337 indicating moderate demand whereas the cutoff for EEE was 323 indicating less demand. There was further low demand for the Mechanical course and its BITSAT 2024 Cutoff was 297.

A key observation is that the courses with a high demand offer a high average package to candidates. For instance the average package in 2024 for candidates who had joined the CSE course was Rs 21.04 LPA.

BITSAT CSE Cutoff vs Intake Capacity (Campus-wise)

Candidates not only need to get familiar with the BITSAT total marks but also the CSE cutoff and intake capacity in BITS campuses.

In each of the BITS campuses the total CSE intake was 150 in 2024. However the cutoff varied from one campus to another. The Pilani campus had the highest cutoff at 372. The BITSAT CSE cutoff at BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad were lower at 347 and 342 respectively. Although thousands of candidates were eligible in each of these campuses only 150 could get a seat in CSE branch which shows high demand for the course.
