Mr Arun Kumar Singh is the Dean at RRSIMT, Amethi. He has completed his Ph.D in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from MNNIT. He has a total of 19 years of teaching experience and has published 12 research papers and also has 1 patent under his name.

You have held key positions at various education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

For me, education is a complex field that requires a lot of critical thinking and problem- solving. People who enjoy these challenges may find that working in education keeps them engaged and motivated.

Being the Dean of Institute, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

My style of leadership is servant leadership, which focuses on putting the needs of others first and serving them to help them reach their full potential. Another common philosophy is transformational leadership, which emphasizes inspiring and motivating faculty to achieve their best, often through a shared vision or common goal which is providing better admission.

How does the curriculum of your Institute ensure the best practice of industry?

Our curriculum is a blend of academic theory and industry practices. We use business simulations, real-time case studies, live projects, and other pedagogical practices to make sure our students are well equipped to become industry managers and leaders. We are one of the rare Institutes to provide good quality education in this region as well.

Any insights into how your Institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

Our mission is to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access. The college administration has encouraged institutions not only to attract and admit students from various backgrounds but to support these students. We also provide Scholarships to the one in need.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years? We seek transformational gifts that will help make our vision a reality.

We want to provide education and opportunities to all the students and make sure that students get all the facilities in their Hometown only and they can compete with students for the best Universities.

What would you like people to know about your Institute they may not know?

We at RRSIMT provide a conducive environment which enables the students not only to upgrade their academic skills and proficiencies but also fully realize their potential as contributing citizens of the nation.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?

Personally, I tend to establish a healthy relationship through communication. It is always a good idea to set aside some time just to talk about the way things are going. When people don’t have a chance to talk about important issues, misunderstandings can occur and tensions often build up.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

My advice to students is to stay disciplined and focused towards their goal. Discipline helps individuals establish routines, prioritize tasks, and stay focused on their goals. This can lead to increased productivity and efficiency in the workplace. When individuals are disciplined in their approach to work, they develop a sense of control and mastery over their tasks. This can lead to increased self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
