KTU's provisional list of candidates selected for PhD registration is out. Candidates must complete the registration and document verification process to secure their final admission. Check the article for important dates and other details.

KTU PhD admission

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram, has released the provisional list of candidates selected for PhD registration for the academic year 2024-25. The selection is based on performance in the PhD entrance examination and subsequent interviews by KTU.

Candidates provisionally selected for PhD registration are required to finish their registration before December 31, 2024. The candidates who are now provisionally selected and are not able to register before December 31, 2024, can extend their registration upto March 31, 2025, by remitting a fee of Rs. 300/-.

Approval of supervisor and approval from Head/Principal of the place of research. December 31, 2024
Approval of supervisor and place of research by the University. January 1, 2025
Candidates may take admission in the respective Place of Research. January 13, 2025
Proposal of Doctoral Committee from the place of research. January 13, 2025
QC Verification Status: Verified by College (QC details to be entered and submitted by the student. Supervisor and college should verify and submit to the University.) January 20, 2025
Approval of Doctoral Committee by the University. January 31, 2025
Conduct of Doctoral Committee and recommendation of Doctoral Committee for registration. February 14, 2025
Registration process to be completed. March 20, 2025

KTU PhD Admission: Documents Required

  • The original copy of the qualifying degree (Master's degree or equivalent) with photocopy.
  • Semester-wise mark sheets/years.
  • Eligibility Proof
  • Test such as GATE/NET for score cards or any other qualifying examination (if applicable).
  • Certificate of proof of relaxation
  • Govt. issued identity proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
  • Research Proposal
  • Experience Certificates
  • Relevant experience certificate is mandatory for sponsored or deputation category candidates.
  • Certificate of the date of birth or 10-grade mark sheet.
  • Caste/Community certificate
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC)

The schedule for admission at the respective Places of Research and the Rank List of Full-Time candidates will be announced shortly. The list of candidates eligible for the KTU Doctoral Fellowship will be published soon.
