The NorthCap University (NCU) supports INDIA’S CORONA WARRIORS by introducing 5 additional seats for their children in all its programmes in Engineering, Management, Law and Applied Sciences for Academic Year commencing 2020-2021.The last five weeks have been a tumultuous period in the history of our country. As our nation combats the COVID-19 crisis, we at The NorthCap University (NCU) have been heartened to witness the spirit and resolve demonstrated by people on the frontline battling this pandemic. Nearly 15 million doctors, nurses, police personnel, military & paramilitary forces, journalists, and media persons have selflessly stepped up to keep the rest of India safe and informed. We salute them during this challenging hour.
As a leading multi-disciplinary private university in North India, NCU has always striven to play a leading role in serving all our stakeholders with the highest education standards and experience. The Covid-19 pandemic has shown that educational institutions have a unique responsibility to the communities they serve. Full credit goes to NCU’s faculty and staff who responded swiftly by moving our classes online as early as 16th March 2020. We are pleased to say that our students have remained connected with their faculty and coursework.
The real heroes of this hour, however, are the millions of women and men risking their lives to keep Indians safe everywhere. We owe these families not just our gratitude but support in every possible way. To express our solidarity, our faculty and staff had earlier donated one day’s salary amounting to Rs.4.33 lacs to the PM National Relief Fund. Additionally, for the coming admission year of 2020-2021, NCU has earmarked five seats in each of its programs for children of India’s corona warriors. Their children will also be eligible to apply for merit-based fee concessions/scholarships. We hope these modest steps will provide some comfort to these brave families.
