Navdeep Kodan is the founder of N2N Realtors, a real estate firm promoting luxurious properties and housing in Gurugram and an alumni of The Northcap University. He completed his graduation and master’s from The NorthCap University. He has also worked as an intern for a couple of NGOs and corporations. In his free time, Navdeep loves reading books and has read more than 150 fictional, non-fiction, historical and poetic books. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in marketing from The NorthCap University and is also working in sustainable and green packaging.

Do you feel NorthCap University has prepared you to enter the workforce?

I have worked as an intern for The Agewell Foundation, CRY, Fitso, Brainweave, AR Logistics and Growth Yogi for a span of five years. The faculty at The NorthCap University has always encouraged us to do internships and gain practical experience from corporations. The environment here helps us apply to different corporations and gain practical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge. NorthCap University has not only prepared me to enter the workforce but also to enter the world of entrepreneurship.

According to you, to what extent does the reputation of NorthCap matter once you enter the workforce?

In every industry, I have encountered students from NorthCap University. So, it is always relatable, and orientation and acceptance become easy. Our senior alumni who have worked in these industries have a positive impact and influence on the corporations. The corporate world has always considered me a hardworking individual and that is somehow because of NorthCap University and our hard-working alumni.

What is your opinion about the Campus and extracurricular activities and their value after leaving the college?

We always had events, clubs and societies at our university that promoted extracurricular activities. We were encouraged by peers, seniors, and faculty members to take part in these activities and these activities helped us gain a broad and better understanding and perspective of the world and society. These activities were fun and always helped us learn and grow. I learned about the importance of teamwork, leadership skills, creativity, and innovation. And these things today are the driving forces in the business world. With these skills, we are always welcome in industries around the world.

What makes NorthCap an ideal choice for students?

There are so many things that make NorthCap the ideal choice for the students. I want to talk about one of the most important aspects that makes NorthCap the best and ideal choice. And that aspect is guidance, guidance given by the faculty members to the students. They constantly encourage students to do more, to aim higher, and to achieve more. They always promote learning by doing, which makes us competent, compatible, and determined. Two important questions that an individual has in front of him what I should do and how I should do it—are addressed here by our faculty members. Today I am trying to add value to society by learning about and promoting sustainability. It is because of NorthCap University that I am confident today, and I am working towards the vital goal of sustainability.

How would you rate the placement activities at NorthCap?

We have a placement cell at our university that is always ready to help us and connect us with leading corporations. The placement cell helps us gain an understanding of the corporate world and prepares us for interviews. I always had their doors open and the placement cell had connections with the leading companies. I chose to do a PhD and start my own real estate firm; if I had not done this, I know for sure I would have gotten a good placement in the NorthCap.

How would you rate the exposure provided to students by NorthCap?

NorthCap provides various opportunities and exposure to its students. We often went for industrial visits and mock interviews; we had guest lecturers from across the corporate world; and we had seminars and conferences. The clubs and societies at the university help students take responsibility, enhance their knowledge and become confident. It was always a learning experience and we always had one club or another performing or organising events, which helped us gain new perspectives and learn.
