What is the latest program you are offering in your institute/department? Which will help the students to perform better and stand out from the crowd?

Per the university's orders, the courses that are run in our college are B.Com., B.B.A., B.Sc. (Bio, Microbiology, Bio-Tech) as well as M.Sc. in all subjects. The college also has education degrees in B.Ed. and D.Ed. are available. We run these courses according to our university norms and set curriculum. This year, the syllabus has been revised based on the recommendations of the Central Board of Studies. There are many changes in the syllabus, one of which is adopting a practical approach. Books and notes are being provided accordingly and they are also being encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. For this, we have also added certification courses, short-term value-added courses, and professional courses. Students are being made to do this on a mandatory basis. These courses also help students get good internships and job placements.

What are the factors that make this program the best for students to choose?

All our courses are recognized by the government. Since 2005, the university has taken care to design each course to be of equal importance. For instance, the B.Com degree is taken by candidates who have C.A., C.M.A., ICAW, or BBA degrees. For the students doing B.B.A., the options are competitive exams like UPSC, P.SC, and SSC, or open or higher education degrees like MBA. Apart from that, they can even do LLB and enter the fields of computer and fashion design. They can make a career in retail management or supply chain management. It is also a professional degree where students develop software. The options are endless for our students.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

Future preparedness will determine how sincerely the student is coming to college and in which course they are enrolled. If they are doing B.B.A. or B.Com., the better the attendance, the better class coverage they will get, and they will get extra classes to ask doubts not only syllabus-related but also personal questions. We make sure the topics taught in the classroom are not just subject-related but also activity based. Apart from this, we have day celebrations and events at the college like Hindi Diwas, Environment Day, and Science Week. We also have competitions and activities throughout the year to involve the students. Students get opportunities to develop their personalities and life skills through these events. The more active a student is, the stronger their communication will be, along with their confidence. Along with this, for sports, we have all types of games in our college, along with N.S.C., N.C.C., and state games.

How have you trained yourself/the faculty to deliver this program to the students?

As a faculty member, I always gain and update my knowledge by reading different types of e-business newspapers, journals and research papers. I try to update my lectures on the current industry trends and movements to better teach my students. We network and invite experts from the industry to share their knowledge with us and the students. Occasionally, all the teachers also attend faculty development programs and take part in research as well.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

BBA students usually pick project topics that align with the curriculum and subjects. They also take into account their career goals and passions when choosing the topic. Some of the projects our past students have worked on are, the marketing strategy of Hero Honda Limited, a study of consumer behavior and satisfaction with Hyundai motors, the promotional strategy adopted by Tupperware, a study on digital marketing and its impact on revenue generation and Marketing strategy on policy bazaar.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

The students pursuing a BBA learn the very basic and advanced rules of management. The course does not rely only on theory; students get to learn practical knowledge through internship programs and exposure to the industry. Apart from business knowledge, BBA helps students build good communication skills and confidence. Most students prepare for higher education degrees like an MBA or opt for a professional course like CA. Company secretary is another best course after BBA, which is one of the most important posts in any company. The students who wish to continue with CS after graduation should have cleared the Executive Programme and Professional Programme.
