What are your primary responsibilities as Dean and how do you balance them with other aspects of your job?

Being the Associate Dean of Sai Nath University, my primary responsibilities include preparing an academic environment for quality education, ensuring the overall working and progress of the courses, and managing and updating things in a timely manner to maintain a healthy environment in the university. It is important to focus on providing a quality education because the university attracts students from different states of India who join for quality education and a safe and secure future. By ensuring a quality education, I help students become well-educated individuals who can serve society in the best way possible.

What do you see as the biggest challenges facing higher education today, and how do you think your university is addressing those challenges?

The biggest challenge is providing a quality education to the students and for that, the university has well-qualified trained faculties with extensive experience in their fields. The T&P Cell actively connects with industries to ensure a great placement record for students after completing their higher studies. Many of the university’s students have been successfully placed and are working in government and private companies.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through the program? How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

In today’s rapidly changing world, it is crucial for students to be prepared for the future and for that, the students have to work on a variety of projects, both theoretical and practical, to ensure their overall development. Our program focuses on providing practical training and professional development opportunities in all the branches, such as Diploma engineering, agriculture, education, pharmacy, and other departments. We provide well-equipped lab facilities and various activities to build students' confidence. We offer a wide range of programs and activities to foster the all-round development of our students. These include workshops, seminars, internships, and projects that enhance their skills, knowledge, and confidence and make them future-ready.

What new initiatives and collaborations has the University established with Industry Leaders to promote industry-specific courses?

The initiatives and collaborations with industry leaders significantly enhance the student's career prospects. By providing them with practical training, exposure to real-world scenarios and access to industry networks, we equip our students with the necessary skills and experiences that make them highly employable. Through our MOUs with other universities and industries, we establish valuable partnerships that facilitate knowledge exchange, research collaborations, and joint initiatives. Recently we collaborated with Maruti Suzuki, it involves a comprehensive training program for students, providing them with valuable industry-specific skills and knowledge. By partnering with industry leaders, we ensure that our courses are aligned with the latest industry trends and requirements. This holistic approach contributes to shaping students into well-rounded individuals who are not only competent professionals but also possess the qualities of good human beings.

How do you approach decision-making in your role and how do you balance the needs of different stakeholders when making difficult decisions?

Our approach to decision-making is a joint effort of me and Prof. Dr. K Rajeswar Dutt, where we both collaborate and consider the needs of every department within the faculty. When making difficult decisions, we prioritize the academic needs of the departments. The process starts with listening to the problems and having discussions with the departmental HODs. We then work together to come to a conclusion within a short period of time, maintaining an effective environment within the department and the university as a whole. Our main focus is on the development of the departments within the faculty. We strive to create a friendly environment in the university, balancing discipline, and freedom, and ensuring the overall development of the students.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

My suggestion would be to choose a field that aligns with your interests and then put in dedicated efforts in the right direction. Remember, there are no shortcuts to success. It is crucial for students to stay focused and motivated throughout their journey. They should not get deviated or demotivated from their goals, as this can hinder their progress. Always strive for high achievements. Hard work, perseverance, and continuous learning are key to achieving big and high goals.
