What will you say the best practices in the course you are offering?

We are offering a foundation programme for students in their first year where students who do not have any background in accountancy, economics, or quantitative techniques are taught the basics. In addition, an introduction to case study analysis and a research orientation programme are also taught. A first-semester executive impact programme is given in which they get acquainted with case studies, presentation skills, etc. From the third semester on, placement training is given to the students, in which they will be acquainted with how to prepare a resume, attempt aptitude tests, and participate in group discussions, and interviews.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

Our MBA programme prepares students by providing an executive impact programme which involves case study analysis, group discussion, quizzes and interviews, which can help update their knowledge. With this training, the students can improve their decision-making skills and know how to interact in a team. They also receive training on how to prepare their resume and develop their interview and research skills. There are also mock interviews, group discussions and aptitude training so that students are better prepared to attend the placement drive in their last semester.

How did you train yourself/ faculty to deliver this program to the students?

We stress the fact that faculties should be updated with daily news and technology. All the classes are taught with the help of PowerPoint presentations, so the faculties are required to know Microsoft PowerPoint. Moreover, faculties are given training in research and paper publications so that they can actively participate and keep themselves updated with research. There are also faculty development programmes in SPSS so that they can assist students in the fourth semester in problem orientation research.

How do you tend to build an industry connected with this program?

Building an industry-connected program involves talking with specialists in the field concerned with the specialisation. We have conducted talks with experts in fields like finance, human resources, and marketing. Industrial visits are conducted twice in their academic period to get real-world exposure.
