-
If 2 or 3 options are correct for any JEE Main question, you will get +4 marks if you mark any of the correct answers for that question.
-
If all options are correct for any question, you will get +4 marks if you attempt that question.
-
In case any question is dropped from your JEE Main shift, you will get +4 marks even if you did not attempt the question.
-
If, after the challenge, the answer is changed for any question, only those will get +4 marks who choose the final correct answer.
After the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Results are declared, you have to decide your next pathway, depending on your goals and performance:
- Aim for IIT: Your rank should be among the top ~2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2026 and apply for JEE Advanced (Apr–May 2026).
- Focus on JoSAA Counselling: Even if you don’t go for JEE Advanced, you can still get engineering seats in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs via JoSAA counselling
Check:
Once the final answer key is published and results are declared, there is no separate revaluation or recounting of marks that candidates can request. This is standard NTA practice for JEE Main.
