- JEE Main 2026 registration last date is expected to be in mid-November 2025.
- To apply for 1 paper, pay a JEE Main 2025 registration fee of Rs 1000 for Gen male and Rs 800 for Gen female candidates.
- Indian or foreign candidates who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or 2026, with physics, math, and one more subject (either chemistry, biology, biotech, or a technical paper), will be eligible for JEE Main. There is no upper age limit.
Last year, a total of 4,89,210 candidates registered for JEE Main session 1 examination, and for JEE Main session 2 examination, a total of 4,00,696 candidates registered.

Yes, you can apply for both the sessions of JEE Main 2026. The highest of your two scores will be considered.
- If you wish to apply for both sessions, you must register and pay the JEE Main registration fee separately for Sessions 1 and 2.
- If you appear in both sessions, then the best JEE Main score among the two sessions will be considered for ranking or merit list.
- However, it is not mandatory to appear in both sessions; you can also choose either session.
In case you forget the JEE Main password, you must visit the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. Go to the Candidate Login and click on “Forgot Password”. Then a new window will appear where you will get three options to retrieve the password using any of the three options:
- In the first option, you must provide the correct answer to the security question you mentioned during the form-filling process.
- You can also take the second option, where an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile. Using this OTP, you can reset your password.
- If you take the third option, a password reset link will be sent to the email ID used during registration. You can click on the reset link and recreate your password.
