Dr. Arvind Siddapuram is the Dean Academics and Professor in Computer Science Engineering Department at Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management, Hyderabad. He has done B.E., M. Tech., and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, and currently pursuing Post Doc from University of South Florida. He is an accomplished academician and administrator with a strong commitment to social responsibility. With over 31 years of experience in Engineering Institutes, Dr. Siddapuram has headed various committees as member, chairman and made significant contributions to the academic community. Dr. Arvind Siddapuram possesses a profound expertise in curriculum design, course development, and formulation of Academic Regulations for autonomous colleges. With a strong background in academia and administration, he has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to create comprehensive and effective curricula that align with the needs of modern education. He is the recipient of AICTE Lilavati Award 2020 for his contribution towards Literacy. He has published 64 papers in prestigious national and international conferences and journals and published 5 Patents in the area of Emerging Technologies showcasing his research prowess. Additionally, Dr. Siddapuram has chaired several sessions in international conferences, demonstrating their leadership skills and knowledge dissemination abilities.

HITAM is offering the courses on CSE with AIML and CSE with DS apart from regular core courses like CSE, ECE, Mech and EEE. What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?
Incorporating the program on emerging technologies into our curriculum presented several challenges. Faculty training proved essential to deliver cutting-edge knowledge effectively, but finding experts and allocating resources for specialized training was a hurdle.Establishing industry partnerships for practical experiences and securing resources within budgetary constraints were also obstacles. Despite these challenges, our institute remains committed to overcoming them through continuous adaptation and collaboration, ensuring our students are well-prepared for the future in emerging technologies.
