As GRE quant and GRE verbal scores contribute towards GRE total score of GRE General Test, the overall GRE score range happens to be 260-340 (130+130=260 and 170+170=340). GRE maximum score is 170 in each section and GRE minimum score is 130 in each section. The average GRE scores range from 145-155. For GRE subject test, the score range is 200 to 990. The following table denotes the score range of each section of the GRE

GRE Score Calculation

The scaled score is used to get the final grade of GRE or the overall GRE score. Raw score of GRE verbal and GRE quant are marked based on the number of correct answers. The obtained raw GRE score is then scaled on a scale of 130-170. By using a GRE score calculator, candidates can easily calculate their scores. GRE Analytical writing assessment is examined by one highly trained rater on a six-point scale to mark each essay. The essay is again examined by an e-rater, designed by ETS. GRE score calculation of the GRE general test process is very complicated, as each of the GRE sections has a raw score, which gets converted into GRE scaled score. If the GRE score of both the human rater and the e-rater is close, then the average score of both of them is the final GRE AWA score. If it doesn’t agree, a second human score is put to use.

What is a good GRE Quant score?
R
rubab

A good GRE Quant score is the score that will give you the best chance at getting into the programs you are applying to. The GRE Quant section is scored on a scale of 130 to 170 in 1-point increments. On this scale, 170 is the highest possible score and 130 is the lowest. So, if your only goal is to score a little higher than average, aim for a total score above 306.
