- You must use a laptop or computer for the test. Smartphones are not allowed.
- Using headphones or earbuds is not allowed.
- Internal and external communication must be done through a speaker.
- The room should be silent.
- Use a proper desk and chair.
- Sit in a place where the proctor can see you directly.
- Notes must be completely visible to the proctor.
- Erase all extra notes and show the same to the proctor.
- Dress formally.
- The webcam should provide a full view of the candidate and the background.
GRE Eligibility for Disabled Candidates
The GRE is designed to be inclusive. Persons with special abilities need to complete the testing accommodations request form and send the same to ETS Disability Services. The accommodations comprise extended tests, breaks between tests, and assistance during the exam.

However, since GRE is an assessment test for admission to graduate courses, you will be expected to have successfully completed your undergraduate program.
There are no specific GRE eligibility criteria as prescribed by ETS. Anyone can register for this GRE, irrespective of age or qualifications. However, candidates applying for master's courses are required to take their GRE test; you cannot appear for the exam after the 12th. You need to have a graduation degree in any field from any recognized university after that only you will be qualified to give the GRE.
