IIM Admission Criteria for GMAT

Generally, the total GMAT score ranges from 200-800, and an average estimate score of a candidate ranges from 400-600. But IIMs require quite a high GMAT criteria of scores – 715+ and more. Most of the famous IIMs like the IIM Bangalore, IIM Indore, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Ahmedabad eligibility require above 700 GMAT score for their one-year PGPx program.

IIM Ahmedabad PGPX Admission Eligibility Criteria

Before enrolling for the exam, you must understand the proper GMAT exam pattern. Given below are the 4 eligibility for GMAT exam in India for IIM Ahmedabad PGPX students:

• A bachelor's degree. (Minimum 15 years of study as per the education system in India, i.e., 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 as the case may be.)
• Should be of 25 years (minimum) as of 31st March of the year in which the PGPX program commences. For instance, for PGPX 2021-22 commencing in April 2021, the candidate should have completed 25 years of age by March 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit.
• A valid GMAT score (GMAT scores is valid for five years from the date of the application deadline date of the round in which the candidate is applying.
• Should have minimum 4 years of full-time work experience 

Admission in IIM INDORE Eligibility Criteria

IIM Indore MBA programs are open to all nationalities. However, a proper score according to the GMAT score calculator is mandatory for admissions. According to IIM Indore, IIM eligibility criteria for GMAT involves the follows:

• 50% in Bachelor’s Degree
• A valid GMAT score

Admission in IIM Bangalore Eligibility Criteria

If you decide to take admission into IIM Bangalore EPGP class of 2024, you must have the following GMAT exam eligibility criteria:

• Graduation with at least 50% CGPA. (For SC, ST, and PwD category applicants, the minimum CGPA requirement is 45%)
• You must have at least 5 years of full-time work experience as of March 31, 2020. (only the work experience after graduation is considered)
• Have a valid GMAT score.

Besides providing the documents to prove the eligibility criteria mentioned above, you will also be required to provide the following:

• A Statement of Purpose (SOP) explains your reason for pursuing the program, along with your future goals.
• Two letters of recommendation. (On-line) (From an individual who is in a position to evaluate your past performances, for example, your employer)

Admission in IIM Calcutta Eligibility Criteria

IIM Calcutta requires a minimum GMAT work experience of 5 years for admissions. If you decide to take admission into IIM Calcutta for 2024, you must have the following eligibility criteria:

• A bachelor's degree (minimum 10+2+3 years education as of Indian education system)
• At least 5 years of full-time work experience.
• A valid GMAT score (taken within the last 36 months of application date).
