GMAT Registration Process
The GMAT exam registration requires you to provide only your basic contact information. This is to ensure smooth communication with the test conductor. Below are the steps you need to follow:
Step 1: Create mba.com Account:
- Visit mba.com
- Click on “Register for the GMAT”

Step 2: Click on “Register for the GMAT” on the My Account page.

Step 3: Fill up the personal details and other information necessary for registration. You can only fill those fields marked with *.

Step 4: Select either GMAT - Test Center or GMAT - Online. After choosing this, you need to select the city, test center, test date, and time slot of your choice.

Step 5: Make the payment and confirm your registration. Payment can be made with credit cards and debit cards. The accepted cards are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Network Cards.

Note:
- Addition of 18% GST takes the total registration fee to USD $324.50 (approx. 29,726 INR) for the test center-delivered exam and USD $354 (approx. 32,120 INR) for the online exam.
- You will make the payment in USD. Your bank will automatically deduct the equivalent amount in INR.

Can I register for the GMAT exam via mail?
No, Indian candidates cannot register for the GMAT exam via mail. Currently, registration can only be done online.
GMAT Exam Fee Waiver 2026
GMAC, the conducting body of GMAT, provides GMAT fee waivers to universities. The universities give these waivers to students who meet their eligibility requirements. Therefore, before booking your GMAT test, make sure to contact your target university and check if they are providing waivers. If they are, check the eligibility conditions and apply for waivers.
As per GMAC, up to 10 fee waivers are offered every year to universities. These waivers are valid till a certain expiry date set by GMAC.

GMAC has set only minimal GMAT eligibility requirements with respect to age and number of attempts. Below are the details:
- The candidate must be at least 18 years of age. If the candidate is between 13 and 17 years of age, the consent of a parent or guardian is needed.
- There is no limit to the number of times you can take the exam. However, there must be at least a 16-day gap between 2 consecutive exams.
- You can take the exam a maximum of 5 times in a 12-month rolling period.
- For Indian applicants, the only ID accepted is a valid, current passport.
- No work experience for the GMAT exam is necessarily required.
What if I am not able to provide a passport on the exam day?
If you are not able to provide the required ID for any reason, you must contact testsecurity@gmac.com at least 10 days before the exam date. The approval from test security is needed in such a case.
GMAT Accommodations 2026
If you need test accommodations like adjustable chairs, medical equipment, or additional testing time, you need to apply for the same before registering for the exam. The following supporting documents are needed:
- Proof that the disability substantially limits a major life activity, as compared with most people.
- Proof of the impact of the disability on taking the GMAT exam.
