Placement Experience

The college has a good placement record and the college provides a good return on investment. The college has a 100% placement record. The placement cell not only attract market leader for placement drive but also helps us and guides us during the placement drive of the college. The highest package for our batch was around 26 LPA and the average package went up to 15 LPA. Google, Arista Network, TCS Research, McKinsey, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, etc are the companies that participated in the college placement drive. Around 75+ companies took part in the college placement drive.

Campus Life

Petrichor is the college annual fest that we all are excited about. The college campus life is good and fine. The faculty, seniors and the administrative staff of the college are very friendly and cooperative. The labs are equipped with all kinds of modern equipment for research and project activities. The college library is big and all types of academic and non-academic books are available. The college also has students run clubs like Robotics Club, Data Analysis Club, Drama Club, Dance Club, etc.

Placements are average if you are from Mtech background mainly from ECE , mostly IT companies visit to our campus and only few non ITs or some electronics companies may visit, due to this pandemics opportunities has decreased to some extend. But as I said for research point of view it is a good clg. You may get chance to go for internship.

All the courses are mainly Research oriented like advanced micro nano electronics, digital design, analog circuit, fabrication, semiconductor physics, vlsi modelling. And faculties that were alloted were Dr. Dip prakash samjhdar and prof. P. N. Kondekar. Exams are quiet easy if you go through the notes provided by them.

The campus is built on lands of the national park, so wild animals like leopard and crocodile are frequently sighted throughout campus. The gender ratio is improved by giving reservation to female students. Labs are world-class, related to current industry challenges. There is a technical club which is followed by students all over India. Online workshops conducted by these attract thousands of students countrywide. There are calendars for sports, technical events, cultural events separately for college and hostel-wise. More than 50% of people are from the reserved category, so you can say the merit of the general category is not respected. Students from NorthEast are less, Christian and Muslim are in abundance, there is very less representation of general category Hindus, Hindu festivals are not much attended, even any religious festivals are not popular. The culture is the nonexistence of God, communist, primarily technical. Everyone has a technical dream and everyone wants to work towards that. You can say culture is American, people debate about the reservation and it is a most feared topic on the campus.

Many technical workshops, technical events, and competitions happen round the year. The tech culture in IITB is the best in India. Cultural events happen round the year from intra to international. Mood Indigo is Asia no 1 cultural festival. InterIIT tech meet, inter IIT cult meets happen every year. Apart from that, there is a complete technical and cultural calendar for the year, even there are an app IITB Culturals on the play store. IITB is a role model of Asia for its events and festivals calendar. Everyone knows about events in IITB open to the world, but the foundation behind it is every hostel has its own calendar, cultural and gaming parties are held 4 times a semester. Every hostel has its own YouTube channel. Management events happen in all the above-mentioned festivals. A separate finance club exists and it conducts proper courses for management, even there is SJSOM, a management school in college awarding MBA. Many technical, cultural, and sports clubs exist. Their Facebook pages are followed by an overwhelming no of students across the country.

Major Power Electronics companies like GE, Eaton, Bajaj, Murata, Hitachi, Honeywell, Sedemac, Schneider, Siemens, Mercedes Benz, Bosch have been recruiting from my branch. The Alumni network is excellent for UGs, but a work in progress and a long way to go for Masters Students. Many Alumni have become faculty in IITs, some here itself in IITB like Sandeep Anand, MChandorkar, Bharat. Since our program is research-based, students are advised to work on projects and Companies recruit on basis of them. Companies are invited by Placement Cell. Placement Cell has properly planned the calendar for recruitment season and training workshops.

IIT Bombay has the best campus life. There are separate technical clubs for each department and many interdisciplinary clubs. Tech activities, events, training workshops, competitions happen all around the year. MoodIndigo is Asia's largest TechnoManagement Fest. Students from all over the world participate in it. There is a separate app on the play store IITBCulturals and it has a proper calendar for activities charted out.

Have very good labs and student activity areas. Various clubs for technical, cultural, entrepreneurship, sports etc. gives a wide range of options to students. Amenities for all type of activities are there. Gender ratio: 8% women. Hostels: Good quality hostels - single occupancy and sharing are available based on the course. Quarters would be available for married research scholars. Techfest and Mood Indigo: are the best technical and cultural festival (respectively) in the country.

Process: Placement cell will be contacting different companies and allotnthe slots. First level of placements would be started on Dec. Some companies will be having preliminary tests for first level screening. This will be conducted on or before Nov. Interviews: slots allocated for each companies would be typically one day. Labs are well maintained since it's a old college started in the year 1952 and the machines are still in good working condition. And about the sports ther is a play ground where you can prectiece your favourite sports and also gymnastics is available for your daily exercise to maintain fitness.

Every year there would be an International Conference in Recent Trends in Electrical Engineering. In 2013 april there was an IEEE conference organized in our college. Every college management was also celebrating Annual Day function. Before they were conducting many sports and educational activities and distribute the prizes on the day of function.

Student and Campus life is the one which we can get back again in my life. In our batch we were about 48 members out of that 35 were male and 13 were female. When we compare to over all the college the ratio was 3:1. Every year before annual day various sports were organized and prizes were distributed.
