Kerala MBA Admission is done based on the KMAT score of a candidate. Candidates can also seek MBA Admission in Kerala based on other management entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, etc. The Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is the annual standardized state-level common selection test conducted by the CEE to offer Kerala MBA Admission 2025.

The registration process for KMAT Session I is ongoing till Feb 14, 2025, the Exam to offer Kerala MBA Admission 2025 will be held on Feb 23, 2025 (Sunday). Kerala KMAT for MBA Admission 2025 will be conducted in March 2025, to seek admission to the top MBA colleges in Kerala.

Kerala MBA Admissions Dates 2025

Kerala MBA Admission is done based on the KMAT exam. The KMAT 2025 will be conducted in two sessions. The Kerala MBA Admission Dates for both sessions are given below.

Kerala MBA Admissions 2025: Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India and a native of Kerala.
  • The candidate must have passed an undergraduate program in any discipline with 50% marks from a university perceived by UGC/AIU.
  • For reserved categories and disabled people, a total of 45% is required. Last year students are also qualified to apply.
  • The percentage of marks must be adjusted to two places after the decimal point.
  • The students who have taken the CAT or CMAT are also eligible to apply for the examination.

Kerala MBA Admission Process 2025

  • All eligible applicants have to register for the Kerala MBA test KMAT through the university’s official portal. The candidates should check the portal regularly for updates.
  • Visit the official website and register by filling in the required details.
  • Upload the Scanned Documents in the prescribed format
  • Pay the Application Fees and keep the printout for future use.
  • Download the KMAT Kerala 2025 Admit Card and appear for the examination.

Kerala MBA Admission 2025: Counselling Process

  • Kerala MBA Admission will start with the counselling process based on the KMAT 2025 results.
  • The qualifying cut-off for the General category is 108 marks, 72 for SEBC and 54 for SC/ST students.
  • After the merit list is released, candidates must sit for a PI and GD round.
  • The interview round and group discussion carry a weightage of 10-10% while KMAT Scores will have 80% weightage in the admission process.
  • Required documents for verification rounds must be produced during the admission process and selected candidates will have to report to that college for further Verification Process.

Kerala MBA Admission 2025: FAQs

Ques. What is KMAT?

Ans. Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is the annual standardized state-level common selection test conducted twice a year by the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) under the supervision of the Admission Supervisory Committee. KMAT has been a gateway for aspirants to procure admission into different MBA and PGDM courses.

Ques. When will the KMAT 2025 exam be conducted?

Ans. KMAT Kerala 2025 is yet to be scheduled. It will be offline or Pen-Paper based Students are advised to check the University website for further notice- @kmatkerala.in.

Ques. Who conducts KMAT?

Ans. The KMAT exam is conducted twice a year by the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) under the supervision of the Admission Supervisory Committee.

Ques. What is the exam syllabus of KMAT?

Ans. It consists of four sections: Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension.

Ques. Can candidates apply to colleges outside Kerala with a KMAT score?

Ans. No, institutes outside Kerala do not accept KMAT scores for admission.

Ques. What is the admission process through KMAT?

Ans. The KMAT admission process includes the entrance exam followed by 2 rounds of group discussion and personal interviews for allotment of seats in colleges accepting KMAT scores.

Ques. How is the Merit List prepared in KMAT for MBA?

Ans. A candidate is given a State Rank (Rank among all the Kerala candidates), and Home University Rank (Rank among all the home university candidates) based on the score fetched in KMAT. For reserved category students, for example, OBC candidates will get State OBC Rank and Home University OBC Rank apart from the above two ranks. If a candidate applies for All India level seats, he/she will get an All India Rank also. There are no reservations in All India level seats.

Ques. How many sections are there in the KMAT question paper?

Ans. The KMAT MBA question paper is divided into four sections:

  • Logical Reasoning (75 MCQs)
  • Abstract Reasoning (25 MCQs )
  • Quantitative Aptitude (MCQs)
  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (MCQs)

Ques. Is there any sectional time limit in KMAT?

Ans. There is no sectional time limit for the KMAT exam. The candidates can wisely divide 150 minutes in solving the question paper. You need to give the required amount of time according to your ability.

I have went so many colleges v it t they told that we have to waiting for college sets and we have return a pgcet exams for free seet but I didn't get seat in any colleges because of low rank. yes I have went for Nagarjuna college but they given for admission to me of 30000 for two years and last finally they told that we don't have 300000 rupees seets on Bengaluru north university. For me they told that we have less seets for joining for MBA they told 450000 for two years but we have convened and I got 400000 for two years. Exam fee is for one student is 4500 rupess. Ans. I have paid 1st year two lakhs and second year two lakhs I have paid. My caste category is general that's why I didn't get schloorships. My native is Andhra Pradesh their I will get scholarship on my caste. My friend got scholarship minimum of 30000 per year. I don't no exact scholarship which the government give scholarship.
