Fees and Financial Aid

For my course of Btech Printing Technology, i have to pay a sum of about 70k each year, during the end month of each semester i have to pay half of that 70k. The fees for General Category, OBCs, EWS are the same and as well as the students coming from other states are also considerd General category here. But the fees for SC/ST students is less if the student's annual income is less than 2.5lac, he/she has to pay only about 5k each semester instead of the 35k. Also there is another category called TFW, which stands for Tution Fees Wavior, in this category the admitted student only have to pay about 18k instead of 35k each semester. Talking about reservation, Here seats are reserved for categories like the Backward class (in haryana the obc are divided into two blocks, BC-A and BC-B), Scheduled Castes and Schedules Tribe, Economically Weaker Sections(EWS), Kashmiri Migrants, Wards of Freedom Fighters/ Ex-service Man. Talking about the Scholarships, here in this university, as it is a State Goverment University, The students who are admitted in the university in reserved category are applicable to apply for HAR-CHHATARAVRATTI scholarship offered by the goverment of haryana's education department. This scholarship is only given to SC/BC/WARDS OF ESM students that meet their criteria. The criteria mainly revolves around the net annual family income of the has to be less than 2.5lpa to avail this benefit. Also SC students are given funds for books by haryana govt. To avail this scholarship the student has to fill the form online on the haryana govt site and then take out the print of that form to get is attested from the concerned university department and submitt it to the department. This has to be done each semester to get the scholarship. In order to keep te scholarship the student has to maintain 75% attenedance and maintain a good cgpa/ pass in all subjects. University also has its own program that offers scholarship to 100 students each year.

Faculty

There are about 60 students in nearly every class, whether it be engineering class, arts class, commerce classes or vocational courses. Also about 1/3 of the staff is actual regualar employes of the university. Other 1/3 are contractutal employees and last 1/3 are HKRN employees which stands for HARYANA KAUSHAL ROZGAR NIGAM. It is a dept of hayana govt that provides temporary govt jobs in departments where there are vacancies available. A problerm with these HKRN employees is that they are selected purely on the basis of their academic qualifications and income basis. These employees are not required to go under any selection examinations or interview rounds. Also there is corruption here in the state of haryana for the jobs of HKRN as these are not exam based or interview based, one has to just fill the online HKRN form and bribe and middlemen who can get his name on the final list of employement list. About 1 year and 3 months into this course, i can confidently say that i didnt liked any of the faculty i have met or taught by . There are about 5-6 written examinations each semester and about 3 practical examinations too. The practical exams are easy as the external faculty are pretty chill and dont ask for any actual practicals all they ask are some basic questions and sometimes they ask where you from or what does your family do.

Campus Life

My experience in the university is so good. It was only decent because there were no festivals for enjoying and relaxing overall only one or two festivals occurred in our university and that is very frustrating because I see my friends in universities of Delhi that there are so many good festivals in their university. The library is the only good thing in this university. There are so many books for your course and also for your life the one thing that dislike is that you have to wait for 30 minutes to issue a book. There is a craze in football in our university, and also they have created a club named as football club and also there are competitions with other universities annually. I wish that our university also fund cricket as it funds football. There is no high-tech facilities in the classroom, just a blackboard, fans and chair and desk. student-run Social groups are very helpful for the students because they provide study material and also organise many different activities.

Placement Experience

Well the placement percentage of our department is 90%-100%. This is because this is the only university that is providing this course, so that is why placements also for my course if I talk about other courses like mechanical, so I have to say that The placements are quite low, and also for the CSE. When two years ago, Samsung came to our university, but there does not provide any job opportunities to students. The highest package of our department is Rs 9 LPA. in the highest package over university is Rs 18 LPA, that is secured by a student outside the campus. The percentage of students in our department that are getting placed is very good, but for the other departments, it is quite low, and the training and placement cell have to do really something about this. well after my BTech, I have decided to do my MBA because I have to go in a business line and MBA would be a good option for doing so.

Placement Experience

The students are eligible for the campus placements in the last semester. Their are so many companies who visit campus for placements. The average package for placement in the printing technology is around 5 lac. And the percentage of students getting placements is around 85%. My plan is to get the placement after the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was influenced towards this cource due to the growth in current industrial trends in the printing field. Their are very less University which provide this course that's why it's demand is high. The difficulty of exam has to be balanced for the students so that every student will get chance

Their is Clubs like Speakthon, Coding, Designing clubs etc. to help students to gain skills and improve their resume.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for all B.tech Programmes is 68,800 INR per year which is quite affordable comare to other universities. There is also reservations for finacially weaker students. University provides scholarship and TFW seat for iconomically weaker students. There is also a Learn And Earn programme so that eligible students can earn some money while studying.

I choose b.tech printing because it is something unique that I can do and it's a rare course in India, I have a great passion for BTech. The student teacher ratio in gju is 100:1. All the teachers are highly qualified, and they all have cleared net exam mostly teachers are PhD holder doctorate. But some subjects are taught by PhD students, but they are not least in teaching, they also teach very well. The exams taken by University is monthly and termly. The level of the exam is average if anybody wants to pass the exams, he/she can pass by just revising previous year question papers. But if you want to score highly you have to study hard.

Campus Life

There are different grounds available for different games. Both indoor and outdoor games and activities are runners by the university. For example - table tennis, volleyball, Cricket etc. A gym is also provided inside the campus. Monthly tournaments of different games and other curriculum are also organised by University. Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are affordable for middle-class family students with respect to private colleges and some other college. So there is not a high amount but it is expensive for those who are below the poverty line and they come out from their city for the course. the 1st-semester fees are Rs 34,000band the second-semester fee is 30,000. The university provides so many scholarships to those students who achieve good marks in their exams and in other curriculum activities. Also, the university hires teachers on the contract basis of Ph.D. students as a teacher of BTech students.
