B.Tech is the major UG engineering course available to students after the completion of their school studies. In B.Tech, B.Tech Computer Science is one of the most popular courses in India. There are more than 2000 engineering colleges in India.
Top government-funded B.Tech colleges offering Computer Science courses are mostly IITs and NITs. Among IITs, the top ones are IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, and IIT Bombay. Among NITs, the top ones are NIT Trichy, NIT Karnataka, and NIT Rourkela. The first year fees in IITs for B.Tech Computer Science courses range from INR 2,00,000 to INR 2,50,000.
Apart from IITs and NITs, some prestigious private B.Tech colleges are offering Computer Science courses. These colleges are BITS Pilani, VIT Vellore, and SRM University. The fees in privately headed engineering colleges are comparatively higher than the government ones. For instance, the first-year fee at BITS Pilani for the computer science course is INR 5,71,575 and the fee at RV College of Engineering is INR 4,00,000.
In every Indian state and city, various Engineering colleges are offering B.Tech in Computer Science.
