The ideal faculty-to-student ratio for colleges in Presidency can vary significantly based on the type of institution and the programs offered. College faculty should typically have a postgraduate degree in their respective field, with a preference for those with a Ph.D. in their area of expertise.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the beginning of the college itself, the tuition fees were around eight thousand rupees per semester and when i reached the sixth semester it was around eight thousand five hundred rupees. I think the hike in the fees is not so much and it is affordable. The complete cost of education comes up to around 3 lakhs for three years. There are scholarships for single girl children and for the people who are below the poverty line. The campus canteen also provides jobs for the students including stipends for the part-time work they are doing after college time.

Course Curriculum Overview

Loyola College is an arts and science college. At the undergraduate level and diploma level, the college offers specific courses and requirements and foundational courses, advanced course and intermediate courses. The teaching of the English language is basically divided into three sections for easy understanding. The curriculum very well for real-world applications. There are two internal exams in between the semesters and one-semester exam after the semester. The timing for the students are very easy to cope up.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I studied as day scholar, the fees amount is much lesser than autonomous. Per year it will be around 15,000.( 11,500+3500) . Odd semester fees amount would be much higher than even sem.Totally for 6 sem I had paid around 45000 lesser than that.As I didn't get any scholarship I don't know much about that. As I studied zoology we did not get any campus placement. But for some other courses like physics,BCA they provided campus employment

Placement Experience

The college has a separate wing for taking care of placements and training. They will be providing the students with placement updates and training too. The students who are in the final semester will be eligible for applying for a placement. There are many companies like TCS, HCL, Deloitte, Byjus, etc. a lot of national and multinational companies conducting their interviews and selecting the students. As I hadn't applied for placements I'm not pretty sure about the salary packages and all but I have a rough idea that an average of 4 lakh per annum is available.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus was the best notable gem of my college. All the topics were updated and the faculties taught very efficiently. They tried to relate the topics with the current situations around us and those helped me to grasp the topics and study very well. The college has an effective ratio of faculties and even non-teaching staff with the strength of students. While talking about the exams we had, there were two-term exams and the questions asked are very related to the topics themselves. A good student who had listened to classes can easily clear the exam.

I had chosen B. SC advanced Zoology and biotechnology as I was very much interested in zoology I had chosen this course. The ratio between the faculty and student is 15:200 Respectively. Most all of my faculty had completed doctrine degrees. Their teaching method is well-versed and excellent. Then when I come upon exams it would be kept on time before the end of semester two model exam will be held. The end semester exam paper will be moderate to tough it seems.

College Events

Technically most of the issues go without problems. Students don't have to get worked up for most of the things. Paying the fees is a bit of a problem. Cultural activities need to be revamped because there is not much happening in the names of cultural fests. Our dance team is really good and they have won many laurels The sports team too are competitive and win may laurels. NCC and NSS are major attractions. We have both air and army wing in NCC.

Course Curriculum Overview

The updation of the course material was satisfactory but the content seemed too less from accademic point of view. English language classes were mediocre and did not do much to provide confidence over command of the language. Practicals were satisfactory. Faculties, some are really brilliant but then they don't come to class and the ones that come to class lack fluency. So, it was sort of mixed feelings in case of grading the faculties.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure for the aided is usually less. It costs around 5000 per sen but for a self supporting candidate it costs around 30000, so it depends on the course you choose and your marks. The mode of payment is usually online. There is no secure amount to be paid in advance, yes there is transparency.

College Events

The events are mostly two events, aarambh maithri and Srishti. The arambh occurs in august and is for first years and the maithri is for everyone. This occurs consequently as three days. Next in the month of February, two days. Inter college fest occurs and various events are arranged.
