JBAS FAQs

Ques. Is there a hostel facility provided by JBAS?

Ans. While hostel facilities are not emphasized in any official source, some private websites do have information on hostels. However, most students opt to stay in PGs, hostels, or rented apartments in Teynampet and nearby areas. This area is very student-friendly with connectivity, so there are no major problems regarding accommodation.

Ques. What scholarships and financial assistance are offered?

Ans. JBAS offers multiple government-sponsored scholarships (SC/ST/OBC/minority students) as well as other merit-based financial assistance. Those students from financially weaker sections may apply for fee concessions or an aid fund. JBAS may also assist students in applying for external scholarships, such as Sitaram Jindal or other minority-related schemes, so that no student is impeded in obtaining an education due to financial issues.

Ques. How are the placements at JBAS?

Ans. The college has a dedicated Placement Cell that helps prepare students on aptitude, communication, and interview preparation. Campus drives are initiated through different recruiters in the industries of IT, banking, commerce, and service. Students in B.Com, BBA, and MCA programs are consistently gaining placements through reputable companies. The median salary is around INR 2.5-3 LPA, with higher packages depending on student skill sets and specialty.

Jbas college for women review

Student view on course curriculum

The subjects are very interesting but the la k of physical learning is the biggest con in this course it's very theory based course and the are no industrial visits or educational tours the teachers also only do lectures no fun interactive sessions.

Internship opportunity provided by the college

Many internahips are offered throughout the year by the college but it's mostly common to all the students in the college so it's very difficult and hard to get. The internships also are separate from the college so you won't get any excuse from the college for your internship.

Yearly fees and scholarship provided by the college

The fees for per semester for my course is 28000/- so that makes is 56000/- yearly and for three years of my course the total is 1,26,000/- which is pretty affordable. There are also scholarships provided to certain students from a particular background.

College events and various activities

There are many events like sports day, freshers day, inter departmental, inter collegeiate etc. the library is very helpful with all the books related and non related to the courses are available. Sone classrooms have smart classes in them but not ever classroom. There is a sports team for all the games. Thee are many clubs to join like YEDC,consumer rights,NSS,NCC etc.

Student views on the faculty and exams

The teachers are approachable and most of them are friendly but the teaching style is very boring abd outdated. The faculty is focusing too much u on conducting exams after exams. It hard to keep up with everything going on at the same time we have Monthly Test and mid term and then finals and it's very hard to do all of them.

Admission

Honestly,This college was my last option I didn't even apply here i applied last minute abd got selected abd since I didn't have any other option cause I got rejected from all the other colleges I applied too I don't know the reason why i didn't get selected so I accepted the offer immediately.

Night Life

Thee is no night life in this college the students are forced to leave the campus after the working hours. There is also no hostel facility provided not that I know of. There are many hangout spots outside the college which are easily walkable
