The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law [SOEL] is a law college in Chennai. It offers 5-year integrated courses, and a 3-year L.L.B. degree. It offers modern amenities, scholarships and hostel facility.
The college provides 4 courses and one of them is completed in 3 years. It was better for me to complete it quickly as I already had 2 degrees. Hence, I chose this course and applied online. The admission was merit-based.
Our college has gym, medical facilities, well-equipped labs, sports complex with a good infrastructure. The professors along with alumni and seniors are really mutual, kind and help students in every possible way. Most of our professors are experienced advocates from various courts.
Our university makes admission easier for the students as those who have secured minimum 70% can avail law course from this university in affordable prices. The accommodation, campus, hostels including food and seniors are really good.
We had no entrance exam. College used to release their cutoff after the results of boards were out.... Cutoff during my admission was 97% and I had 98%... Shortlisted students were called out for admission after 2 days..
College offered 26 courses in undergraduate,post graduate as well as in distant courses. There was no entrance exam for the selection as everything was based upon your 12th marks. Their cutoff used to be in between 95%-99% which makes admission very very tough
The college is among the top most college in India. I have also started my career using there internship program. After that it is upon you that how well you build-up your personality.The college gives a good experience overall.
To get admission into the course, the candidates must have a minimum of 70% score in the 12th examination. After submitting the form, a cut off list is released by the college. After counselling,the students are offered admission.
The admission process is based on an merit list released by the university. The candidates must apply for the program and depending on their marks, a merit list is released. Once the merit list is released, the admissions is given to selected candidates.
Students will be selected based on the marks obtained in qualifying examination and Law entrance test. In case of tie i.e two candidates having equal marks, the elder one will get preference for admission. Seat once alloted will not be changed under any situation.
