The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law [SOEL] is a law college in Chennai. It offers 5-year integrated courses, and a 3-year L.L.B. degree. It offers modern amenities, scholarships and hostel facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are 2 semester-end exams in a year. The course curriculum extends beyond bookish teaching, and indulges us in situational tests and healthy competitions. Projects, presentations and class tests are also used to assess our knowledge.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities were not very good during our batch. Now they are gradually developing. Primarily, the college was founded for imparting higher education, the focus was not on placement section. Internships are not available during graduation.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible/moderate. Other colleges charge more or less the same amount for this course. The yearly fees for this 5-year course is ?70,000. This fee is inclusive of tuition fees, admission fees, library fees, NSS fees, cultural fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many scholarships like K.G.R. Scholarship, Sridevan Endowment, J. Paul Endowment, Jeeva Endowment Scholarship and many others help students who want to study but can't afford, pursue their dreams. Loans are also available from banks.
Campus Life
Sports and other extra-curricular activities are given equal importance. Annual function reveals students' hidden talent in sports, singing, dancing and theatre. Festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal.
Admission
This is a 5-year course, to be pursued after 10+2. So after my 12th results were declared, I applied for this course online on the college website, with my 72%, and got admitted when the merit list came out.
Faculty
The college did not experiment on us by giving us new faculty. We had experienced teachers who knew how to handle us and motivate us. They knew the solutions to all our problems. They had all the necessary qualifications.
