The shortlisted candidates will be called for the Entrance Test and Viva Voca will be on Dec 13,2024 & Dec 14, 2024. Gurucharan College (GC College) is a renowned institute of higher education established in the year 1935 at Silchar, Assam. The college is affiliated to the Assam University and re-accredited by NAAC with an A grade. GC College Admission
Admissions to the courses are granted on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam. Separate admission committees are there for each stream. The respective admission criteria will be determined by each committee.

- Central Library: The Library building has sufficient space to acquire more collection of journals books, etc. and has a capacity of 150 readers in its reading room. The Library is divided into different sections like Text Books Section, Circulation Section, Reference Section, Newspaper section & more
- Hostel: The College has two hostels for boys and one hostel for girls which provide good accommodation for the students. Hostels are allotted on the basis of merit.
- Health Centre: The College has its own a Health Centre which is under the charge of a doctor. There is an elaborate arrangement for the first-aid facility. Also, it provides a regular health check-up.

Gurucharan college i applied and i got a confirmed admission from Gurucharan College. Because i have pass out HS from this college . No , i didn't got a rejection because i don't apply others college.

I choose this college because it is in self in my home town and the requirements are getting fulfilled in this college I just love it The exam accepted are cuet the admission experience was wonderfull and love it

- Boys ratio is higher then girls ratio, campus life was good.
- Social interaction was good, all are friendly students, everyone helps each other whenever needed
Dislikes
- I didn't like when our result is out and we have to take our marksheets from the counter because there is very less space and all the students around 300-400 comes there and no place to stand in summer days i feel like it's better not to come
- In exam time all the students run to take better seat in the middle if you late you fail simple haha

I choose this clg because i study HS first year and HS second year in this college so my name comes in cut off list so i become selected for this college, i applied for cachar college also but my friend also choose GC so i come to GC one my of my own brother studied from GC so i choose this

- Our college is one of the most attractive colleges of Silchar.
- The landscapes around our college are so picturesque that we click new photos every single day.
Dislikes
- College is yet to make a mark in placements as only 25-30% studnets only get placed.
Admission:
I applied for Gauhati University but unfortunately I couldn't get through. My marks were lesser than the required cut-off and therefore I had to stay back in my town and study in Silchar only. Our college too have a cut-off and for general category it was 70% and mine were way above that.
Admission:
I applied to only 2 colleges these are gurucharan college and Radhamadhab college. I got chance in both colleges. But my first preference was gurucharan college and i got chance here so i took admission in this college

- I liked the college compound with proper sanitation and water facilities
- College teaching staff and non teaching staff are very cooperative

- There is no proper cleanliness around the campus
- The auditorium is small as per the requirement based on the students size

I applied for different colleges but GC college provide the best courses among the other colleges in Barak building that's why I choose GC college over the other colleges. No I did not get any rejection from other colleges as my percentage was enough to get admission in all the colleges of Barack belly but I prefer GC college because of their reputation The process of admission in GC college is first of all the 80% seats will be reserved for nonceut student and 20% seats will be reserve for see you to student nonsit students are marked based on their percentage discode in the 12 level and suite students are got admitted according to their mark in cuet

Admission:
I have applied to only two colleges. Gurucharan college and Karimganj College. I got selected in both the colleges in First List. As my sibling works in Silchar so my family preferred me to choose Gurucharan college over the other college that I applied for. Cut-offs of the colleges these days are a bit high. so I would suggest all other students to attain atleast above 65-70% to secure a seat in the college

- The practical equipment are old and hence doesn't give accurate results
- There is little or no practical classes.
Admission:
The admission process is through online mode. The website is well designed but often the server gets down during the form fillup due to overcrowding in the line. The cut off for Physics department was 65% in my time.

- The teachers or the faculties expertise and mentorship are awesome
- Social interaction from college event is also good
Dislikes
- No placement from this college related for career
- Teachers are expertise definitely but could conduct more classes

Eligibility of the course - 10+2 With 70 and above percentage Application form we got online and took part in counseling too. application fees was not there it was free for all just admission fees was required. Reservation benefits not that great Frequency of exam is bit poor in 2 month semester exam it should be atleast 6 months

- Faculty who had a lot of knowledge and expertise regarding the field and they gave their best in classes and taught very well
- The fee structure was good and affordable and they had government schemes included which helped some students to avail for free admission
Dislikes
- Lack of clean toilets, sanitary pads, and clean drinking water
- The major drawback is the timing of examination and result. A 6 month semester should be of 6 months but here we are giving exams withing 3-4 months of the semester and the results take eternity to come
Admission:
The admission process was based on hs percentile. Basically if you are above 60% you can get admission easily but the year i took admission in this college the hs results were bery high since the hs exam didnot take place and every other student had scored very good marks and hence it was hard to take admission that year
