She was dressed in a traditional 'Mekhela Chador' & adorned with jewelry. According to a faculty member, the AI teacher was asked a question, "What is hemoglobin?". The humanoid AI teacher gave a comprehensive explanation to the students & the faculty.

A spokesperson from the Royal Global School told, “Whether the questions were from their syllabus or about anything, ‘Iris’ provided answers in no time and with examples and references.” The children were also very delighted in their first AI teacher’s ability to perform actions like handshakes, adding an element of enjoyment and interaction to the learning process. This was a first kind of experience like that for them.

"Iris” is equipped with a voice-controlled assistant that enables it to respond to the queries & provide detailed explanations. A teacher from that school expressed the children's excitement over the artificial intelligent teacher's ability to be qualified as an proficient educator.

The development of the robot was a collaborative effort with Makerlabs Edu-tech under the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) project which was initiated by NITI Aayog.
