Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital Barpeta Faculty

It's a medical College and the faculty-to-student ration is good. It have mentor mentee program also. I am in Phase-I MBBS and I like respected Dr. Kakoli Das Ma'am HOD of physiology. I like her teaching style. There are 3 internal assessment exams per year and 1 professional (final) exam. The questions come from university (ssuhs) the level of questions is moderate

Faculties are good they teaches us very nicely. We have three departments 1.Physiology 2.Anatomy 3.Biochemistry In every department we have practical classes they are so intresting and we enjoy it . We had our first internal exam in February month.

Faculty students relationship are so good and also approachable as they are very helpful and always help us in difficult time The name of faculties i like are Dr shantunu sharma Dr shrishendu roy Dr purnima because of their brilliant teaching capacity Faculties i don't like are Dr kakoli das Dr raman talukdar Because they are always rude There are 4 exms that are taken yearly These exams are so much tough and very difficult to pass Approximate 30% students are fail to clear the exam

There are around 60-70 professors in the college. Apart from the that clinical professors and practitioners are seperate. Faculties are easy and friendly and are approachable. Among the faculties I liked were Chinmoyee ma'am, Kakoli ma'am from physiology. There are many but it's not possible to write their names individually of course. During our time, the university introduced a new curriculum named prelims i.e similar to the first professional MBBS exam just 3 months before the finals. Apart from that we have internal assessments within a span of every 3 months. Also formative and part completion tests. Practical exams are held seperately. The course is not that easy but if you are sincere from the beginning you can definitely make through it.

Faculty to students ration is 1:5 is good as our need. Faculty and student relation is so wholesome. When a student need any type of emotional ,mental and financial support,the can go to the faculty without any hesitation. The best faculty according to me is firoz sir . He is assistant professor in anatomy department and a very good teacher cum practitoner The name of faculty I don't like - bonti ma'am of physiology. I don't like her because of her disrespectful attitude towards students. There exams in A year - 2 internal assessments every year and 1 university examination Difficulty level is average Around 10-12 out of 125 students are unable to clear the exam every year

The faculties are all have done MD,MS, or super speciality courses from renowned institutions like Guwahati Medical College, etc. There is also a mentor mentee program under which there are four students under a professor which is s very good thing for students.

There are more than 50 lecturers and regarding the course, there are every courses available like mbbs,pharmacy, nursing. EtcAnd obviously, a person cannot be a doctor without hard work, without a degree, they are all well trained in there specific fields, they did there training in the foreign countries.

There are 20 departments which teach their respective subjects. Each department has lecturers as: 1 Head of the Department aged from 50-60 years with around 30-40 years experience, MD/MS and MCh 2-3 Professors aged 50-60 years with around 30-40 years experience, MD/MS and MCh 2-3 Associate Professors aged 40-60 years with 20-40 years experience, MD/MS 2-6 Assistant Professors aged 40-50 years with 10-30 years experience, MD/MS 4-7 Demonstrators and Registrars aged 30-45 years with 1-7 years experience, MD/MS.

Most of the faculty are highly interactive and prepares slides for the theory classes. In the clinical classes they teaches us how to interact with patient and make them comfortable to speak and examine. In theory class they tries their level best to make us understand their topic.

The faculties of the college are very helpful. From teaching basics to helping with the practices they exist. They have been guiding us through our every step & always encouraged us for something new. For them only we are being able to learn so much.
