The BSc Biotechnology program spans six semesters, featuring two mid-semester tests each semester. The field of biotechnology is thriving globally, with leading companies like Amgen, Genentech, Gilead Sciences, Biogen, Moderna, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, and Novartis leading advancements in biopharmaceuticals, genetic engineering, antiviral drugs, and mRNA technology. Emerging companies, including CRISPR Therapeutics, Illumina, Bluebird Bio, Beam Therapeutics, and Sana Biotechnology, are pioneering gene editing, genomic sequencing, and regenerative medicine.

In India, notable biotechnology firms such as Biocon, Serum Institute of India, Panacea Biotec, Zydus Cadila, and Bharat Biotech are recognized for their work in biosimilars, vaccines, and biopharmaceutical innovations, including Covaxin development. Indian students pay a semester fee of Rs. 43,000, which covers Rs. 1,000 tuition, Rs. 500 caution, Rs. 10,000 registration, Rs. 2,000 admission, and Rs. 5,000 lab fees. Foreign students face higher fees due to additional charges.
