Mumbai University is actually an affordable college under Maharashtra Government. The college is one of the most old colleges in India. The college costs around 8k for Yearly fees and 11.5k for hostel. Most of the other departments also have around these as tuition fees. The fee structure is increasing 5% every year.

Distance education

University of Mumbai, IDOL provides scholarships to the students that are sponsored by Government of India and Government of Maharashtra. A student belonging to SC/ST/OBC category gets the scholarship if he meets the eligibility.

Since Mumbai University is controlled by the administration, it is incredibly plausible. Notwithstanding having a condition of craftsmanship engineering, world class offices and an amazingly decent workforce, the expense is entirely doable and doesn't fall into the higher section by any means. There are many scholarships available for students. There's Post Matric Scholarship that you can apply online. Students of the SC/ST category can avail of other scholarships as well. There aren't any loan facilities offered as far as I know. But you can still approach banks for student loans.

DECENT FACULTY

This is very possible as the government manages the University of Mumbai. With sophisticated architecture, world-class facilities and excellent faculty, the fee is very practical and does not include a high bracket. Exam fees and study materials fee to my 8-K a year.
