Overall a decent college

Likes

The college is located in Ahmedabad. So it provides you exposure to outside world if you have been living in Village area your whole life. Also you can get job right in Ahmedabad so you get enough time to get used to the city.
The college provide campus placement with average package for computer science of 5-6 lpa

Dislikes

The quality of education is bad. They don't care how you complete your lab manual s and assignments.
The washrooms are not cleaned properly,and water supply is not good
No research is done in college. Faculty has only theoretical knowledge

Placement Experience:

After 3 year the campus placement starts,the companies offer package from 2.5 lpa to 10lpa .the companies that visit to our college are tcs , einfochips, tatvasoft ,and many others, nearly 100% placement takes palce.I am planing to do masters in us and make a career in data science/ machine learning

Faculty members are very supportive they are very helpful in any kind of educational or social work. Also they encourage you to participate in different different cultural as well as education events like hackathone,Robo fight,etc
Social life in this college was very decent as it is a government college mostly students came from lower middle class family so they are very shy in nature but very helpful and humble
In this college there is no one strict about attendance which is good for some people and also bad for some people as some people utilies this time for productive work and some wastes their time

Dislikes

I dislike collge infrastructure. The college infrastructure is very poor and ambients are very cheap even all the washroom are very dirty

Placement Experience:

Placements in the VGEC comes with very low CTC. Here only few well known companies came for the placement and offers very low CTC, so thats why i didn't take placement and starts preparing for Post graduation.

Life at vgec

Likes

Infrastructure is better than other government colleges and faculties are also good and supportive.
There are too many clubs in college and also many events are occur in college.
College area is also good . Everything is available in near of the campus .

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies like tatvasoft, torrent , nirma, adani comes for placement interview. The highest package in vgec is 35 LPA and lowest package is 3 LPA. There are 60-70% students get placed every year in computer branch. Some students who doesn't placed are going for off campus placement. Some of gives GATE exam for masters.

Life at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College

Likes

College environment is good , seniors are supportive.
College infrastructure is also good , spacious and a lot of garden area is there
Professors are nice , they teach well , take regular classes too

Dislikes

Computer labs have a lot of unoperable computers

Placement Experience:

There are great placement opportunities in our college , in our computer department, last year placement percentage was 100% and Average package was 6 lpa ,its quiet impressive , a lot of companies visit our campus like Wipro TCS Adani and many more , so placements are good !

Concern towards not developing a faster work efficiency of student

Placement Experience:

The placement is such enormous that you easily get placed in a multinational company with an average package of 700000. If you are in it or in comp I bet that you get a placement. Eventually if you do not gate there are various plan distributers for your ahead learning.

Placement Experience:

In my department, during the 6th semester, they are eligible for campus placement. In our department, the highest package is 12 lakh and the average package is 4.5 lakh with some conditions of a company like if you want to appear in the interview so no backlog or minimum cpi is required based on company criteria.

So many opportunities

I liked that with 3000/year fees I have change of getting 22 Lpa or maybe more than that.
I heard that in government college faculties don’t teach properly but in my college its totally different.They force you to come college daily and even take extra lectures for completing syllabus.
Students are very helpful with each other including seniors also.

Dislikes

Hostel seats is too less compared to total count of students.So many students live in PG.
Due to exams under Gujarat technical university, exam conduct some times late.

In my college, the computer and IT department have 100% placements and overall around 60%placements including all branches. My college's highest Package is 22 Lpa and the average package is 6.5Lpa. I think the 6th sem is the eligibility for getting on-campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is pretty outdated but all colleges follow similar courses but the advantage of any govt college is the non-strict attendance policy which leaves us free time to explore other things and interests.

The thing i like about college is good placements
The 2nd thing i like about college is they provides libreality
The 3rd thing i like about college is the faculties are very good

Dislikes

Classrooms are very old and benches are also should be replaced
Laboratary facility is very bad in some cokputers keyboard not working in some computers mouse not working
Faculties of Engineering Drawing is worstest ever

Placement Experience:

The placements at the Vishwakarma Government Engineering College is very good in th3 recent times in the computer and it field the College give 100% placement and the highest package is of 21LPA and 4 students got 12LPA Package

Their is a no cleanliness in the washroom
Their is no very good equipment in the workshop
The management of the college is not very good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I interested in coding. The faculty is good enough in number to teach all the students in the college of all sem. The faculty all get ME/MTech and some get Ph.D. They can do once in sem on the 1 sem.
