Great learning experience

Likes

The aspect which I appreciated was this college was all girls and now they have made it co-ed, it would be better if it was still all girls college
College has students from all over India, if you're a social person then you can meet new people and new friends
The faculties are very knowledgeable and skillful, very friendly as well.

Dislikes

First thing is that earlier it was all girls and now it's co-ed, I don't like this part
Some blocks washroom needs a proper renovation, though they are clean but it needs a renovation

Placement Experience:

I didn't apply for placement as I was planning to do masters in the same field, but our college has a dedicated placement centre and I use to see various companies visiting college and hiring students

Life at (MCC ) ; balancing life and college culture

Likes

College infrastructure is very very good .
Teachers and mentors are very good and help us with our every doubts.
The course seem to have a lot of scope .

Dislikes

Some teachers are not so well qualified for the status of mcc and don't teach properly
Social life doesn't have much time,since I'm doing a triple major
Sports committee is not so honest with all students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always into research and concerned about nature and depleting environment. So this course was the best for me to opt , all the experiments and labs we have all are useful in our day to day life and have meaning in doing that so , micro lab and enscience lab is the best among the rest and zoology lab is also engaging sometimes.

My college, My MCC

The faculties in the college are so nice. They help you with everything you need. They clear all the doubts, no matter when you ask. They make sure we understand concepts, and if we don't, they repeat them.
The college has many associations to participate into. That being up the talent of students and many fest and intercollege activities. The campus is covered with trees and plants everywhere with nice ambience.
The college has metro feeder bus that drops to metro stations and a bus stand just outside the college. This is very helpful and easier for students to travel daily. There are securities outside the college all the time to take Care of everything.

Dislikes

The colleges have associations but only take it people who are very good at it. Some wants to learn and improve them in that particular things. But people don't accept them, they take only people who are excellent in that part
The students have very much of attitude. 70 percent of the students are from other states, you can see many people who are drowned in loneliness, they don't socialise well or get along with people of their hometown or their language
The secretaries of the college are very partial, and take only their friends into the associations. You need to have influence inside the college to get things done and there is politics inside the college among the students.

Placement Experience:

For biotechnology there are no placements as of i know. But there are so many placement opportunities for commerce. There is a association named placement cell. And students with no active backlogs and in the third can appear for placement. I am going to join a different college for masters

Reality check to Mount Carmel college!

The college has strong academic reputation with excellent and quality graded faculty of teachers and experts
Vibrant college life, multicultural college fests
Modern infrastructure and well maintained classrooms

Dislikes

Very strict attendance policy of the college
Placement from college is not upto the mark or students expectations.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from 4th semester. Lots of companies like dell,wipro,himalaya,lg,sony,ashirvaad,hp including more like It hubs and non-it hubs all land up in college after every ending semester to gets hand on future employees. Lots of students gets enrolled in companies through placement cell of college. Few get out of colleges and plan to work later. This college offers a good placement but I believe it can be better and possible far more better. After getting a undergraduate degree it is very important for a student to graduate with a double degree aswell. As it might help the students with better placement and carve a better future for his life.

Likes

The facilities provided to the students are pretty good
They encourage students and embrace art and talent
Lecturers are really well educated and most of them keep braod mindset

Dislikes

Ratio of men and women men are too low as it turned coed this year
Some students have upper hand in everything cause they are popular
Ithas to work on more cultural activities

MCC is good for placements for commerce and science Companies like wipro Infosys tcs ibm accenture have tieup Almost 70 percent of students get placed and the highest package till now is 23 lakhs per annum But when it comes to arts theres no proper placement cell

The best of MCC

Likes

Our Mount Carmel College Autonomous campus is too greeny and peaceful place I really love it .
Our college canteen is so good with affordable prices and tastiest food.
Our teachers are good with friendly nature and good teaching quality.

Dislikes

The students who have a lot of rudeness and attitude
Hate the attendance policy because it doesn't come operate with students.
The timings of classes and extra classes is horrible .

Placement Experience:

I actually do not prefer college placements because I would mostly prefer giving interviews and hanging, patching up with companies or being a business women or a entrepreneur by myself because I wanna make myself proud of it.

The best things I have done

Likes

The teaching aspects are good the placement opportunities are good
The ratio of girls and boys is 30% boys and 70% girls
This year the college has decided to become a university from autonomous

Dislikes

There is a lot of changes because of the college changing into a university
The semester are too short which leads to a lot load on the students head
It’s really difficult to cope up with everything has it’s a really short period

MCC - A college of Dreams

I love the overall ambience of the college and it's stunning infrastructure.
I love the staff, and the subjects that they teach are just amazing on their own
I love the fact tha it has onekf the highest number of Associations amongst all the colleges in India (67).

Dislikes

Sometimes, they give an illogical amount of work to do in very less time. It causes discomfort in a lot of students and is somewhat not pleasing.
There is no boys hostel which is justified as they turned into co-ed this year itself from all girls, but yes, finding a room for accomodation might be a hassle.

My course is a triple disciplinary course in Biotechnology, Chemistry and Microbiology. It's a pretty impressive yet morbidly difficult course over other such courses. It's future aspects span a huge range of jobs with inclusions like research and development as well as corporate jobs. There is nothing to be improved more in this course, it's pretty much self sufficient the way it is. The frequency of exams is pretty average however there are frequent class tests which is important for the students' development. Thetiming of the cia is 1.5 hr and for the end sems is 3hr. The papers are pretty standard however he Chemistry paper is difficult.

I liked canteen,there almost all the facilities r good
Coming to fests fests r too good.our.colege is know for fests in Bangalore
Stationary is available, hostel is available, digital library is too good also it has e library

Dislikes

Sunday and Saturday extra classes. Extra class class taken on week days
Too much assignment. Early timings to come to college
Here ratio of boys : to girls is 1 :9. Because it was girls college before

Placement Experience:

From the last year of any ug or pg we can get enrolled.aptitude test will be done.. There r many companies which will visit our campus. Many students will get placed. I would like to choose msc in data science

Mount Carmel College is one of the finest in Bangalore. It has received star college award for the science department. The campus has a great student crowd with fantastic energy.

The college has good infrastructure. Every class has a hybrid board for presentation. The campus has a lot of uncluttered spaces to socialize and study. The sports facilities are pretty good as well. The basketball and the fields are well-maintained. The campus also has a well-equipped gym.

The professors are well-qualified and helpful. The undergraduate courses taught at the college have a decent balance between theoretical and practical subjects.

Mount Carmel College placements are pretty good. In the recent placement, the median CTC offered to students was INR 3 LPA. The number of companies visiting the campus is increasing each year. Big MNCs like Wipro, Dell, E&Y, JP Morgan, etc. visit the campus drive.

I have a few friends from Mount Carmel College Bangalore. Their experience at the college has been quite good. Here are some snippets of their experience at the college.

Placements: Many reputed companies visit the college to recruit students. In the recent placement drive, the average and highest CTC offered at the institute was 2.95 LPA and 7 LPA. The placement cell also conducts placement training for the students, before the placement drive.
Facilities: The laboratory facilities offered at the institute are quite good. The 1st floor of the LSCB block has all the science labs. The computer labs use all the modern technologies.
Course Curriculum: The course curriculum followed for B.Com is quite good. Teachers use live examples to teach.
Fest: MCC organizes many fests. CulAh is quite reputed in Bangalore.

Overall, doing B.Com from Mount Carmel College is a good option.
