Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mount Carmel college offers great range of Bachelors and masters courses, also called as undergraduate and graduate degrees. Like.BA (Bachelor of arts) With subjects like history and economics and sociology. Bsc(bachelor of science) With subjects offered are chemistry, zoology, microbiology, botany, life science, nutrition, math etc B.com(bachelor of commerce) BBA (bachelor of business administration) MA ( master of arts) MBA(master of businesa administration) MCA( master of computer applications) All courses are excellent and extremely helpful for ur future work place or life. With great and excellent information overall

Internships Opportunities

3

Mount Carmel college offers not much for internships. They have very few companies attached to their college for students to work theirs internship with. Mostly students have to search on their own or struggle to get one connected to college. Not much appreciated in this criteria for college. It's may be 6/10 marks. But students are pushed by teachers and definitely encouraged alot for working on projects and getting stipends

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible for placements from 4th semester. Lots of companies like dell, wipro, himalaya,lg,sony, ashirvaad,hp including more like It hubs and non-it hubs all land up in college after every ending semester to gets hand on future employees. Lots of students gets enrolled in companies through placement cell of college. Few get out of colleges and plan to work later. This college offers a good placement but I believe it can be better and possible far more better. After getting a undergraduate degree it is very important for a student to graduate with a double degree aswell. As it might help the students with better placement and carve a better future for his life.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sc/st scholarship for around 20000-40000 depending upon how much the student scores marks. Roman catholic scholarship 30000-35000 again depending upon the same criteria Government scholarship 20000-25000 same criteria

Campus Life

4

Kala is on of the famous festivals or to be said fests celebration held in mount carmel college. I personally am a big fan of the fests. U get to see a lot of other colleges participating in the fest. They also encourage any Bollywood and tollywood celebrities to come to the fest and showcase their upcoming movie or films by advertising it. The mount carmel college bangalore, Karnataka, india has a very large library with great collection of books and knowledge for all spaces and all type of variables studies. The facilities in class are also appreciated to the atmosphere they create.

Admission

I had applied to other colleges. Maharani's Mount Carmel college Christ University St.annes University In total of 4 colleges out of which 2 selected me. And the other two had rejected my application because of their cut off percentage criteria which I dint match upto. I had liked mount carmel college, bangalore the most because of its weightage of pros when compared to cons. The admission was a tough road to go through in all colleges, waiting paying for applications. Etc,etc, etc. Students and parents will surely have tough time during these admission procedures. For BA the cutoff is around 70% For Bcom it's around 80% And for B.Sc it's 90% and more. Making it different for average students to get into such esteemed colleages

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:6. Students and teachers relationship is good and friendly. Easily approachable and understanding The best of all faculty is zoology department. Loved all teachers and their way of explaining all concepts. Especially mrs. Vimala. Exams are 4 in total in each semester. Easy if studied for it and mostly all students pass.

Night Life

5

Nightlife in and around college is one of the best times I have spent in my life. In mount carmel college bangalore Karnataka India, u get to see hostelites roaming atleast till midnight after which it's silent all night. No parties allowed except during festivals and public holidays. College has gym, cafeteria, library which all close by 9 pm. Campus is closed by night 11 pm. It's location is vasant nagar so just opposite to the college is our food lane. Filled with food, xerox stores. Also filled with restaurant. The locality is safe in and around the area.

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

There is no such thing as placements for now (in 1st year here) but in our second year, we have placement support here. We have compulsory internship at our Second year. We only have 2 batches, 1st Year and 2nd Year. But for now, among our seniors 60% of them hold internships and others are either building something or scaling their skills. For now, we don't have any placement records but according to scaler academy, it will be aroung 24 Lakhs.
