I took CET and scored 148 out of 200. I wanted this college as this is the only in the vicinity. I landed up in production and then shifted to electrical engineering.
I'd given IIT JEE - Mains examination and MHT-CET examination. I opted for this college because it's one of Mumbai's top reputed college for engineering studies, and also large companies like Microsoft and Google come here for placements and it has a good history of education, almost 130 years raising brilliant students.
As a whole VJTI is a good college for all though it is dominated by Maharashtraian students.College management is constantly in a bid to improve upon students curriculum by roping in foreign professors and industry lecturers, organizing seminars etc.
I took Mumbai PET entrance exam, After being awarded academic and administrative autonomy in 2004, VJTI became operational under the administration of a Board of Governors.
Crowd at VJTI is sad; rather, nerdy would be more appropriate. Students get engrossed when it comes to technical festivals, be it their own college fest or any other, and this happens all round the year. Students from the Reserved Category are seen in healthy numbers (Thanks to the 50% reservation quota).
The college is worth it mainly because of the students and the peers we have here. The students is what make VJTI what it is and every students ends up adding value to the college and to himself in the course of the 4 years. The college management however needs to give a better push to extracurricular activities and encourage students to participate even outside the classroom.
