Likes

State government scholarship,alumni scholarships are available.the students can fetch it to get financial assistance.the pacement opportunities are good ,they provide plcement trainings.
The faculty and staffs in our college are highly experienced and everyone have completed their phd.90% of the staffs are friendly with the students .the concepts taught by the faculty are highly efficient and makes our work of learning easy.
The maintenance is outstanding. the campus will be always very clean

Dislikes

The girls hostel timings are bad . Girls should be in before 6.30 . So taking outside classes can be complicated
The campus area is small which leads to a chaotic environment though its not a considerable drawback.
College doesn't support any student related teams that participate in national or higher level competitions.

Lab facilities and facilities experience is highly exceptional
The college is in the main city so weekends are amazing here

I chose this branch of engineering as it is a combination of both core engineering and software engineering The exams are conducted once 2 months and the internal exams are easy to moderate while the final exams may be difficult depending on our preparation

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester while we can start our internships during 3rd year. There are many companies visiting our college like caterpillar amazon google tata motors siemens etc. Around 60% are placed and many opted internships

Faculty experience and facultys teaching is exceptional The fee structure is affordable compared to private institutions.
Lab facility is up-to-date with required lab equipments for practical learningThere’s a good balance between academics and extracurriculars.

In my department all facilities are good hearted. All will speak Tamil and english during class. So it will useful for government students - who studied in government school in their high level of education.
In my campus life is so good. In my college days, one bridge is there. So we can easily go to hostel. Otherwise it will leads to accident. Because, my clg is there in main road.
All seniors are good soul. They will provide guidance and their notes. So we can easily attend lab exam and CA exams.

Dislikes

In my college, production department is very strict.
If we did any mistake related to girls or drug directly they will dismiss for min 6 months.

Placement Experience:

Placement is very good. In my class around 60 - 58 peoples are place in MNC ( combination of core companies and IT companies) remaining 2 persons not optin for placement. They have own plan to attend government exam. Wipro, CTS, goldman sangs, amazon, qualcom, texas instruments, teminos .... So on

Life in PSG

Likes

The campus is very clean and you will enjoy being in the campus.
The professors know their subjects very well and teach us in an easier way

Dislikes

The canteen doesnt offer you with variety of items

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is an integrated course where we complete post graduate by five years. I chose this course because of my interest in computer science and mathematics. I would ask only those who are interested in both to choose this course as most of the subjects require knowledge in them both.

Likes

Hostel infrastructure is optimised very well
College infrastructure also done very well for the fees
Girls boys ratio is now 1;3 , maximum 7k peoples can accomodate the hostel

Dislikes

Night time is allowed upto only on Saturday 12pm
No strict rules are followed by the management
College timing is 8.30 to 6pm for sandwich students

I'm first year you don't understand the course and why? When you come 2nd and 3rd years you will know the potentially of the course and value of the course, definitely it will be very usefull for placements as well as your carrier

Engineering at psg from the eyes of a 1st year student

Likes

The crowd is very fun and friendly, its easy to mingle with everyone
The hostel life is very enjoyable if you have good friends
involvement in sports and other activities are encouraged

Dislikes

mess food is mediocre at most of the days
Somedays the workload is a bit high but manageabe
Cultural events are a bit lackluster and mediocre

Placement Experience:

The placements here are above average according to me, The condition of the market is really bad especially for core jobs, but still students are getting placed for top packages (12+LPA). Even if you dont get placed you will get exposed to several oppurtinities for higher studies .

PSG College of Technology LIFE

Likes

Good infrastructure, and good hostel infrastructure l. Good place to study.
There is No restrictions for attendence. Min attendence should be 75 %. So we will study enjoyment.
Teaching is good, the students with basic knowledge about science and technology can easily adopt the environment of teaching in this college.

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are at 4th floor has only steps no lift for that.
Library books are kept yourself for only 14 days . You return within 14 days otherwise fine on extra days.
Correct of paper is a huge scam. There are many partialities on providing marks, but even it seen we can't question it.

Placement Experience:

Here Placement are very good. For CS and IT placement packages around 1 crore per annum are available. For mechanical it starting from 12 lakhs per annum. ECE and all 60 lakhs per annum. The requirements of the students is CGPA of 8 and above. PLACEMENT WELL HANDELED BY ACADEMY.

Review about PSGCT Coimbatore

Likes

The campus is very beautiful, and clean.
Teachers are mostly friendly and helpful in project and internships.
Our college have various club activities and association, which is very useful.

Dislikes

Our college have very strict dress code for boys and girls
The sports facilities are very limited to few sports
They only focus on academics, not for various cultural activities

Placement Experience:

The college placement cell is very helpful and active though out the final year, They will try their best to get you placed. Many companies will come for placements, On average totally 50% got placed till now. The average package is 6LPA.
