Download and print the application form from the official college website.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 years Full-time BE/B. Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Candidate should have Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical subject as the third subject. The candidate must have a combined aggregate minimum of 50% marks in general category.
For backward class including backward class, including Muslim is 45%
For SC/ST/MBC/DNC is 40%.

Entrance Test:-

Admission is offered to TANCET qualified candidates only followed by university-based counseling (TANCA).
Single Window Counseling by Anna University, Chennai, as per their norms.

How To Apply for TNEA?

Eligible students can apply for TNEA by following the given steps for registration, with a fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for reserved category):

Visit the official website of TNEA and click on the “Online Registration” link.
Candidates need to first register by creating a login ID and password through an OTP verification.
After the registration, candidates can log in with their username and password.
Candidates will have to fill in personal details, academic qualifications, etc.
After filling the application form online, candidates can preview the details entered.
The application form should be submitted along with the fee and a printout should be taken.

A Glimpse About PSGCT.

Likes

Good infrastructure and the environment is good.
Climate and weather are really good.Not too hot.

Dislikes

Only 2 to 3 cultural are conducted by the college in a year.
Everything is online based including Appling for a leave.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The couse have a total of 8 semester.There are 2 CA for each semester which are internal exam and one semester exam at final. One semester is approximately 3-4 months.You will have 5 theory subject and 2 practical subject for one semester.The marks are based on relative grading.

One of my relatives pursued his graduation from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology. As per his experience, Mechanical Engineering will be a good option at CIT. Here are the following reasons why you should choose the Coimbatore Institute of Technology over PSG College of Technology.

Faculty:

The faculty of Coimbatore Institute of Technology is friendly, professional, and skilled.
Many of its professors work in organizations like DRDO.

Infrastructure:

PSG College of Technology provides better infrastructure than Coimbatore, but there are many facilities available in CIT as well.
Coimbatore Institute of Technology provides good lab equipment and arrange workshops for engineering students. Workshops are very important to gain ample opportunity, which will boost your career.

Campus Life:

The campus life of CIT is better. It provides a friendly environment for students.
However, the hostel and its food quality are low, but you will get used to it.
