I really liked the teachers in my course.
In My home state,i had only seen students who are doing time pass but here in HRC i met with students who really want to do something big in social sphere especially.
I really liked the specious campus of hansraj.

Dislikes

Not working of AC's in summar,this thing is really bad about management here.
The thing I disliked here is strict environment where they will not allow you remain in collage after 5 PM and will immediately close all the rooms after commencement of last class in that particular room
They need to appoint teachers in other courses with some good mentality too ,they just can't intake teachers based on marks

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose my course history hons simply because I like the subject. And when there is matter of love, I don't consider other aspects.So I never researched about 'Relevence' of the course in particular. The course and teachers give you a philosophical approach to history which makes it completely better then other courses as it gives us objectivity as well as philosophical subjectivity.

It is generally seen that 5 sem students become eligible for the placement. The placement opportunities are not very good here . Although I would say it is not bad but it needs improvement. Not everyone gets the placement

The campus life and the social activities, events.
the teachers co-operation and the library facilities.
The sports activities and the maintenance of the college

Dislikes

The college ground are not open all the time
the lab equipmentshould are not very good, and short lab time
The strike of the lab assistant and the co-operation

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why i decided to go with the electronics hons is that because in the upcoming period there will be the era of electronics all the things will be based on the electronics,because of the AI and machine leaning. In the college we learn pratical and theory both ,we get to known the pratcal application of the things that wea re learning, the scope of that things.I think our pratical timing should be increased.The exam is of 3 Hours amd twice in a year and there is class test also, the level of the paper is good,if we prepare well then it is very easy to score 8+ cgpa

Hansraj College, Naam toh suna hi hoga

Likes

Cleanliness is taken care of really well and campus is regularly cleaned
Library is well equipped with the latest tech and books are readily available.
Overall infrastructure is up to date and maintained to keep the students demands in mind

Dislikes

The BA Programme department is not well developed, hence leading to too many forgone opportunities for freshers, departmental events, etc.
I feel there should be regular college fest which makes the college life more fun
The campus is usually under construction

Placement Experience:

Hansraj College has a really good and active Placement cell with the recent stats showing the highest package as 23 lpa and the average package as 8.7 lpa. Students start becoming eligible towards the end of second year. Recently, more than 218+ offers rolled out in the first phase and the recruiters include esteemed organisations such as Deloitte, Accenture, PWC, ey, ICICI Bank,etc.

An honest experience

Likes

Library facility is the best in our college, it provides books all all genres and a peaceful environment to study.
There are various colleges clubs .related to every sector like marketing, finance, drama etc.
Those red buildings of DU provides aesthetic environment and a sense of college life to each individual

Dislikes

Unavailability of gym facility in our college to non-sports person is what I disliked about it
Some Faculty attitude towards students is not so good as they delay each and everything in college and does not take things seriously
Campus area of my college is very less due to which there's no campus life and also unavailability of sufficient hostels.

Placement Experience:

Placements at top DU colleges like SRCC, SSCBS, LSR, Hindu, Miranda, St. Stephen's and hansraj are pretty good. They offer various internship as well as placement opportunities. Generally companies start their visit to colleges in the month of nov-dec students become eligible in their 5th semester and many companies visits and offer various offers. Top tier companies like BCG, BAIN and LEK offer very limited no. Of offers. Highest package was about 23LPA in our college and average was 7LPA and median was somewhat 6LPA. generally students gets placed from BCOM(H) and ECONOMICS (H) and few no. Of students gets placed because other decides to go for masters. My plans after completing this degree is to study masters in economics from a reputed institute.

An overview of hansarj college

Likes

Library of our college is very nice as it offers very silent and comfortable sturdy hall with the desktops for everyone to use and a huge 3 story book collection from different fields
The well known LP area for students to meet and spend a good time
Hansraj's mentor program where each group of junior get's a mentor of their own who is generally a senior of their own course to help own in studies and different things

Dislikes

The teaching atitude of some professors is very odd.
The gym of hansraj and sports facilities access is only available to students who came in through sports quota.

Placement Experience:

Hansraj offers placements but only to specific courses and the job offers are average to the students. Last year's highest offer was 35 lpa with an average of 12 lpa and this year's highest of 25 lpa and 8 lpa average. Most of the job offers are made to the bcom hons and economics hons students. In addition it is easy to find off campus placement as the hansraj name is well known among the best companies of the field, also the alumni network is very strong so it becomes more easy to find a job

DU is worth all it's hype!

Likes

Societies here in hansraj are great quality and guide you through everything,as they say there's a society for everything
The crowd here in hansraj is true cream and everyone is a champion right from school
The campus is pretty clean and hygienic and the libraries are AC equipped

Dislikes

The societies some times are toxic in terms of the workload and credits offered and promotion scenes are crazy
The campus is too small as compared to other colleges as you get bored after a while running around the same grounds
The administration is strict and always keeps us on our toes,it is always hard to seek permissions for anything we do

Placement Experience:

Placements arrive right after our 4th semesters and students across diverse courses are eligible however the most demanded are bcom and economic honours courses along with people in combination courses for these We see placements majorly in finance and consulting roles The placement cell helps most of us get placed but it moreover would depend on one's achievements the highest package goes upto 23 lakhs per annum in hansraj My plans would incline towards a placement however if I don't get one I'll look forward for an mba course

"Insider's Perspective: A Comprehensive Review of College Life"

Likes

The infrastructure itself is sufficient and worthwhile.
The college canteen is affordable and provides different cuisines.
The open atmosphere and a less restricted environment allows to communicate with other students freely

Dislikes

The hostel does not have adequate accommodation for all students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum itself is quite interesting and provides a in depth knowledge about the course. The curriculum starts at the very beginning which helps even the students who have never studied the subjects before. Even the course material for the subjects is descriptive and easy to understand. A student studying in economics honours would be through with all the concepts and have a better time in opting for further education in the same field

Likes

The college's campus and it's vibrant atmosphere. It really emphasis on our overall scholastic development
The college's societies are also well doing in their perspective fields
The infrastructure is also very well maintained, the campus is clean there are gardens Greenery.

Dislikes

The faculty can be improved a bit because our teachers aren't loud and the class size is big so backbenchers cant hear properly also they can be more friendly in nature

Placement Experience:

As I said that I'm a fresher so I really don't know much about placement. Companies such as Deloitte, HDFC bank , Amazon came out college for recruitment. Highest package that a student got was of 36 lakhs per annum. I don't want a placement after my bachelor's degree because I have to prepare for MBA .

My experience in Delhi University

Likes

Infrastructure of the college is pretty good
You can have access to library anytime during college hours which is quite good.
Faculty is also good though they are educated by reputed institutions such as jnu or delhi University itself

Dislikes

Library should be accessible to students throughout the day.
Teachers are not very concerned about teaching
Hostels provided by the college are very limited and the cost of living is quite high in the north campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen delhi University for the preparation of civil services examination. There are various societies present which you can join. Semester exams are not very tough so you can focus more on your job preparation.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
