Pure reflection of my campus

Likes

I.like the cleanliness of my campus, it is always clean and tidy.
I like its infrastructure including its library , classrooms , sports ground and specially canteen.
I also like its crowd which is very fun, peaceful and educated

Dislikes

I hate the timings of a lot of things including lectures, library and sports ground.
I dislike a disability of my college that's its very small and congested.
Also i hate the fact , that there is always some constructiongoing on inside campus which is noisy and distracting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course 7/10 , faculty and my classmates are good. I am learning a lot of new thinks from my surroundings and overall it is helping me to improve. The one thing i didn't like about this course is that there are lot of things to study and some of them sometimes feels like useless piece of information but I don't know maybe it will be helpful later.

Infrastructure is one thing which i liked the most
Societies and clubs are very active , i like their activities
Faculty is one of the best all across the DU

Placement Experience:

Placements are one of the best in hansraj across all du colleges . Hansraj has its own placement cell which is quite active and many companies visit college like Bain , Bcg etc.. Average package offered is 10 LPA in hansraj and highest is 35 LPA , Students of 3rd year are eligible to sit in placements

North Campus and Hansraj ( besides the streets of Kamla nagar)

Likes

Campus, That vibe of Student roaming around the sense of security the sense that no one is judging you and you can be yourself for the entire portion of three years the lovely people out there
Food - A huge variety of food is there from laphing to chhole bhature there is everything and anything very tasty very affordable
Supporting teachers - I loved the teachers more than anything else in the college very interesting engaging and helpful always ready to help you with ease

Dislikes

Principal - a strict Principal who imposes a lot of things which sometimes are totally unnecessary and can be avoided
Denial of Permissions - Everytime there is a problem in getting the permission of anything and we need to write many applications and stuff
Restrictions: You can not sut peacefully the ground is not open for half of the day library is closed very early

Course Curriculum Overview:

If i had to rate the curriculum in NEP i will rate it a bit low as the new subjects which were introduced For example:SEC(skill enhancement course) VAC(value addition course) AEC These subjects in NEP were of no significance the number of classes were very less the syllabus covered was very less You just need to make a ppt and you are good to go and you just qualify the exam and hence this new curriculum was not that great that it would have been Comprehensiveness also decreased due to the increased number of subjects throughout the curriculum but Yes the practical component was increased and was interesting and engaging as well so good on that part

Reviewing the reality of hansraj

Likes

The exposure you get here is awesome. You'll meet many talented people here . The crowd is very fine but there are many drawbacks as well
I liked the facilities like good infrastructure of Library, ground, badminton court and all amenities like hostel, canteen everything
The events organised by college on a regular basis and societies of college play a important role as well

Dislikes

I dislike the administration of college sometimes they act very strict to students
There are some students who play dirty politics in the college and degrade the Atmosphere of college
The timings of classes we have gap between classes due to which very much time is wasted of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA in Philosophy program at Hansraj College teaches many different philosophical ideas and helps students think critically. It prepares them for jobs or more school. But it could be better if it included ideas from other subjects and used different ways to teach. Exams are okay but could be spaced out better. Overall, improving these things would make the program even better for students. The teacher and not very good at teaching i personally dont like the way they teach . And classes sometime happen and sometime not

Amazing college life

Likes

The all around environment and students.
Visiting places and flowers in botanical gardens
Various events and fests organised by colleges

Dislikes

Strictness in doing entry in other colleges
Nearby flat rates are very high and pg also
Traffic laws are not followed by people in campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that i have got is good . It enable us to study three subjects physics maths and computer science. The syllabus is also normal it cam be covered easily within a few days. Except that we have 4 minor subjects also.

The Educational Convoy at Hansraj College

Likes

Amazing Infrastructure including Indoor Badminton Court
Multiple food stations for good and cheap food
Air conditioned classrooms help in summers

Dislikes

Bad food in canteen and less seating available
College is always under some sorts of construction
The college has several restrictions on usage on infrastructure

Placement Experience:

The college placements are coordinated by the placement cell. Almost 200+ offers are rolled out every year. The highest packags is 23 lakhs by Bain and average package is 8.7 Lakhs. Top recruiters includes Bain, De shaw, PWC, EY, Accenture, United Airlines, Delloite, Namo etc. Most opportunities are in consulting, Audit, Tax And HR fields. Majority studnets applying for placements get placements either through campus placement or private placement.

All about my college and undergrad life

Likes

The crowd which is at my college is unmatched and we get to learn from our seniors and mentors
The society are very fun and helpful side by side there are many different experience which helps us in society
The are many helpful seminar held in our college which helps us to learn and grow

Dislikes

Just the competitiveness of students in every aspect wither it be academics or sports

My intrest in mathematics allowed me to choose this course The curriculum prepares the student for real life application by using topics as statistics and probability with the software like Ms Excel and Mathematica The faculty is very friendly and engaging The exams are conducted at the end of the semester and in a year exams are held 2 times

My Honest Review on my College Experience

Likes

Classrooms are well managed as they have air conditioner in each classroom.
The price and quality at the cafeteria is affordable and good.
The sports facilities provided by the college are good as there are wide range of sports facilities in College.

Dislikes

The age of the benches in the classrooms is too old, they need to get upgraded or renewed.
Small campus area. so, there are limited places to roam inside college campus.
Placements are not so promising because our college is not so famous.

Placement Experience:

Placemets levels are average. Average package is around 8 lacs and the highest is around 36 lacs from Hansraj College. About 60% percent students get placement. Many companies visit like gshaw, dell, mckenzie, etc.

Social and campus life is best of Hansraj College.
Crowd diversity you meet people from all states south,north,east and west and some from other nations Iran, Afghanistan, African ,Central and East Asian nations.
Infrastructure of the Hansraj College is best among other colleges of Delhi University.

Dislikes

Attendance is compulsory like 67 percent attendance in Hansraj College so sometimes even if we don't want to attend any class we have to attend it.
Infrastructure is amazing but Campus size is small compared to some college like Hindu and Stephens.
There are very small number of seats in Hansraj Hostel so many students are forced to live in PGs and flats which are expensive like 1.5 to 2 lacs per year.

Generally in Hansraj College most of the students are UPSC Aspirants so they don't sit for any placement but Commerce students do prepare and sit for the placements our college' placement cell is really very active and they bring internships and held various seminars to make students ready for the palcements. Mostly company which comes to our college are from banking, finance, investment and consultancy services the highest package in our college is 35lacs and average is 6 to 7lacks per year. I will not sit for the placement and will prepare for government exam.

Hansraj College- Explained

Likes

Hansraj College in last 6 months has been an excellent experience for me. The campus life has been amazing.
Another important advantage is the experienced and versatile faculty which is available.
The society culture of the college has been amazing too!

Dislikes

The location of the college is a disadvantage as it is quite far from the nearest metro station in comparison to other colleges in North Campus.
Another thing which I dislike is the scheduling of classes which are sometimes too tiresome.

Placement Experience:

The placement usually takes place in 5th semester for a three-year course. Many top companies including BIG 4, BCG, Bain ,etc visit the campus with maximum students getting placed from this course. Usually, there are successful placements but even if there is no campus placements, there are large number of opportunities available off-campus as well.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
