Ex student’s honest review of holycross college, Calicut

Likes

Near to city, clean and safe campus, well maintained garden with birds and small animals, well maintained library, gym, computer lab,
Basketball court, football turf, badminton court, small game like board games is available for every students. Every students can play all sports daily without any restrictions.
Teachers are friendly and cares for students and has CCTV camera in every corner.

Dislikes

College doesn’t provide entertainment programs for students. Even if they provide it will be small and over within an hour. No concerts, promotional activities etc
Minimal parking space. No four wheeler parking available for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is made by university and teachers teach by refering university books. Course curriculum for bba is really good. Its easy to understand and applicable to real life use. Frequency of exams is decided by university and it is announced at least 2 month before so we have plenty of time to prepare for exams

Experience ans a ug student

Likes

Campus life is pretty much good for studies, programs and extracurricular activities
The college infrastructure includes a library, one main auditorium and one inside the campus, also there are labs
They also provide placement for both ug and pg students

Dislikes

As the attendance is 75% compulsory, we cant take much leave as it end up in our results at with held in sem exams
The canteen in our college is usually mess
Our college has a lift but only for teachers

Course Curriculum Overview:

As am a BBA graduate, i think the course is pretty much okeyish for me compared to bcom., There are more theory paper than problem papers. They usually conduct internal exams for each and every sem and i think its good for students to learn before the semester exams

Placement Experience:

Placements are provided by the college. In the previous year, more students got placement from the college and now they are in a good position. Most students are from the Bba. My plan after my degree is to prepare for the SSC exams
