Ex student’s honest review of holycross college, Calicut

Course curriculum is made by university and teachers teach by refering university books. Course curriculum for bba is really good. Its easy to understand and applicable to real life use. Frequency of exams is decided by university and it is announced at least 2 month before so we have plenty of time to prepare for exams

As a bba student we were given a good internship opportunity of 1 month in a leading and well known company. Students were given opportunity to choose the city they wanted and after completion we were paid and we all recived certificate which is of value

Fee structure is according to University of Calicut and college doesn't charge any hidden fee other than university prescribed fee. College doesnt charge extra fee for computer, libary and facility useage. Financial aid and scholarships are available. For me as a bba student, fee was 9000? per sem. College gives plenty of time to pay sum and doesn't shame us if we doesn't pay on time.

Campus life is good if you're a introvert silent type of person. There isnt much a party college life but its peaceful and calm environment. There isnt college political parties so no fights and all. Classes is equipment with smart boards and well ventilated classrooms. RO water is available in each floor In sports, college has basketball team, football team etc. Students can approach PT teacher to join the team. Lot of clubs are available is every club is active. Major clubs include NSS. Holycross NSS is one of the best in university.

Reason to choose this college is ; 1. Very accessible. Unlike other college, this college is in city itself and well connected to major roads and public transport being available all times. Admission process is same like other colleges : first we apply by CAP registration and we get call from college if we're accepted.

Faculties is very good and well educated. In commerce and management department we have facilites with doctorates and they teach very well. They support students well and they're very easy to approach for any problems we face. They also clear doubts for us and is friendly with students. During my 3 years in college I haven't met any rude teachers. Level of exams is manageble if you study enough. Course is easy to learn. Most of students pass the exam. Marks provided by teachers is purely based on merit. Even if we're in good terms with teacher they wont provide extra marks. Its strict that way

Yes, after getting selected in first round students will fave a face to face interview with HOD or principal. Nothing sort of big tough interview. Just a small interview to see your values and things.

There is no night life available. College closes by 6 and students can stay there till 6. Since the college is situated in center of city, lots of places are near like beach, parks and malls. Night near campus is safe and people around campus is decent
