Siliguri Institute of Technology Darjeeling Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. Siliguri institute of technology has a history of succession placements. The average package is around 4-5LPA per annum and the highest is 27 LPA per annum. As of 2024 several renowned companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Amazon, Virtusa, EY have visited the campus for placements. The no. of students who have been placed are around 220+. The placement is available from 4th year onwards. Students juggle between placement preparation and academics.

From 5th and 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like AMAZON, P360, WIPRO, GEMINI, NETFLIX, TCS, etc. hire a number of students for placements. Last year, a student from our college achieved a package of 51LPA. The average package of our college is 5-6 LPA.

From the fifth semester and 6 semester the students of this college are eligible for the campus placements they are various companies who visit our campus like TCS Wipro Cognizant Capgemini P360 etc the highest package from this college was 51 lpa in Microsoft and the average package of this colleges 4-6 lpa

From 6th and 7th Semester students get eligible for campus placements. The companies that visit are TCS,. Cognizant, Dell, intel, Amazon, Microsoft, McAfee, Hp etc 70% plus gets placed every year. Students must maintain a cgpa above 7 to be eligible for campus placements. After getting a degree I want to develop my career as a software engineer and product manager.

My course was quite good if we are talking about 1st year, 3rd year and 4th year. In the second year we were taught some arts subjects which were not at all relevant to our course. Subjects like industrial management were taught.

Placement percentage of our college is 85 to 90 percent. From 4 th year or 7 th sem students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, capegimini, Mahindra and other visit our college. My plan after college is off campus placement because I want to crack big MNC like facebook.

From 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited:- Google, Microsoft, etc. The highest package offered to date is 51 lpa by Microsoft. Percentage of students getting placements:- A student needs to secure at least 60 percentile.

What I have gained from the seminars hosted by the Placement Cell of our college is that, they will give their 100% to bring as many companies possible and provide placement as long as students maintain their academic record and develop their skills. But getting a single backlog paper in any semester can can hinder in the process of getting placement. And what I've heard from senior is that, the placement Cell will prepare you for the interview as long the students can clear the previous rounds.
