In Tamilnadu after IITM and NITT I would suggest SSN over CEG because of the spotlight you get from teachers and regular classes with a better infrastructure particularly for computer science based courses

I didn't choose the other colleges in TNLEA because the first applied college was SSNCE only and I got this college in merit. if, I apply other college is Anna university Chennai but lateral entry students have no seats at Anna university. I didn't get any rejection from other colleges because my first preference in SSN and i got it. I applied TNLEA website for lateral entry and studied diploma and Choice filling then allotment order. If you are trying for management quota you have have clear the exams and face to face interview. There is no Recommendation in this college. mostly cut-off for admission is 190-199 according to courses.

The admission process was complicated but it was quick. It requires you to come to campus physically to go through the admission process which includes an online test and an interview as well where you will be tested on your basics.

They consider the board marks and the management exam score and interview performance for management seats and for govt aided they only consider board marks , the transparency of how students are getting selected is very low .

There are two ways by which you can apply and avail a seat at The SSN College of Engineering. One, is through Anna University Counselling. If you want to pursue CSE or IT, the respective cut odd should be more than 198. For ECE or EEE more than 195. For other core Engineering courses 190+. Second is through the management quota. But fee is higher when compared to counseling fee. First you have to apply with your cutoff. If the cutoff is more than 180, you will be called to take up the management exam which takes place in 2 stages. First you have to take up an aptitude test which has 25 questions and 4 marks each which adds up to 100. Second, you will have to give an interview wherein you language and communication skills will be evaluated .

Actually in management quota, there is an entrance and required cutt off marks to pass and followed by that i review process is there. If we selected for it, we can move the admission process further. In management quota, the entrance exam pattern is composed of physics, chemistry, math. To apply for management quota, there will be a portal in SSN website. In that they will open application form and we can apply through that. In counselling, there is a range of cut- off for each course , through that we can get seat in SSN. I got seat through general counselling but as far as I know about the diffulty level of exam is standard. We can crack it, like that my friends told. Both counselling and management admission are meritorious only.

As I joined in SSN college through management, following the application process I had an exam. I got a mail from the college that I was selected for the interview along with the interview details. I attened the interview which is quite no technical. They asked about my profile and how the technology is impacting people. Later, I recieved mail from the college that I got selected in the department of Information Technology. For our batch, the process took quite a long time. The competetion is increasing every year.

The admission process was so smooth to be very precise. Initially, we will be shortlisted based on the cutoff marks of our 12th grade. After that, there will be an entrance examination which has two papers they are aptitude and another paper with maths, physics and chemistry questions. They are easy and tricky at the same time. If we are selected they send us an email for the next process which is an interview. The fee structure can be seen in the official site SSN and if any queries we can contact the officials by phone
