I have taken addmission through the government quota so my feelings was about 1.5L and the fee structure for management quota is different. Students who come under the 7.5 reservation quota have no tuition fee and there are reduction in fees for students from Jammu and Kashmir and rural areas based on the scores.

Ssn college is pretty good compared all the other college in chennai. I personally felt the amount of freedom a student received is incomparable with other college. I feel the fees structure is bit high as i come from a middle class family. My fee for first year is around 4lakhs including hostel excluding the mess fees. For mess we need to pay around 3k a month.

Generally the fees for first year students is 245000 and for other years is 2,05,000.Since iam a first graduate I will be deducted 27500 from the total fees,so the fees for first year is 2,17,500 and for the next year is 1,77,500 .This includes tution fees-27500, admission fees-27500, development fees -55000,hostel-78000 (non AC),98000(AC) , books nd stationary (wifi nd others)- 57000,mess deposit-7500.For management quota extra 1lakh will be asked.For 7.5 reservation students there no fees will be asked to pay for.There is a merit cum scholarship available here which will provide students upto 1lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid:

SSN provides admissions through two ways one is the Anna University counseling and the other is by writing the college's entrance exam. The fee structure varies for students based on the form of joining the college. I joined through the entrance exam of the college also called management seat. The split is 50% through Anna University counseling and 50% through the management entrance exam. The fee for students who join through the management exam is slightly higher and as follows. The fee structure is the same for all departments in the college. The fees paid is every year and therefore students must make 4 payments to pursue their undergraduate. The fees split up is as follows: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | Tuition Fees | ? 2,12,750 | | Bus Fees | ? 72,000 | | Hostel Fees | ? 98,000 | | Exam Fee | ? 4,000 | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Students must take either the hostel or the bus compulsorily. The exam fee must be paid once every semester and the tuition fees along with bus or hostel fees based on the student's accommodation preference are to be paid once every year. SSN also provides many need-based academic and sports scholarships. Sports persons who excel in their sports and represent the university are provided a scholarship of ?70000 per year. I'm currently a second -year student pursuing Computer Science and engineering (CSE) at SSN college of engineering. Having spent over a year here , I've had the chance to experience both the academic and campus life , and I believe I can provide a fair perspective on the college's so far . So firstly tha Academic part , every faculty working here are PhD holders , so most of the teaches good and they can give you the real feel of subjects , they don't , they set papers that are above medium difficulty and is known for strict correction standards, which push the students to maintain high standard. They encourage your innovative ideas , SSN is place where you can so much exposure , they conduct technical events like Invente where you can show case your creative working models . One of the finest part about our college is the campus , it's damn good , our college is known for shooting tamil movies , like ENPT , Bigil , etc... SSN has around 350 acre green campus , filled with flowers , trees , and well - maintained buildings , creating a pleasant environment for students . They have separate blocks for different departments . Placement - most of the students get placed during their final year , the average package varies from department to department but on an average the package is 16 lpa. They also provide internship opportunities for students during their pre-final year . Hostel and food - the hostel and food are not too bad --still good overall, making the living experience quote decent. So if you're looking for a place that combines high academic with a great Atmosphere, SSN is definitely worth considering Hope this review was helpful.Please forgive any mistakes I may have made.

Review about my college (SSNCE)

Fees and Financial Aid:

The total fee to be paid for an year will be nearly 2.5L per year and monthly mess fee will be 3-4k. The tuition fee will be nearly 1.4 L including caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees. The hostel fees is nearly 90k and admission fees will be also need to be paid. For management seat the fees will be nearly 3.5L per year.
