KGEC Kalyani Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the sixth semester, students are eligible for placement. The highest package of our college is 45 LPA and the lowest package of our college is around 3.5 LPA. Around 90 to 95 per cent of students get at least one job.

From the 6th semester, students can sit for campus placement. Our mass recruiters are TCS, and Cognizant. Apart from these many other software companies come to our college. Some students also got placed in MNCs. In the core stream, L&T, Tata Power, wood, HCL, and BEL come to our college.

I choose ECE because Jobs are available everywhere and with some basic knowledge ECE engineers can do wonders with the training provided by companies. The faculties are highly qualified and the faculty and student ratio are approximately 1:7. Some teach us very well. Exams happen every month and semester exam is hard to pass.

This college provides excellent placements for CSE, IT and ECE branches with a decent package. For core branches like Mechanical Engineering, the placement scenario is not so good. 10-15% of students get placed in core companies with avg salary of approx 8 LPA, and some of the others get placed in the IT companies with a 3-4 LPA salary. The main recruiters from this college are TCS Ninja, Cognizant, Capgemini, Google etc. About 60-70% of students get placed and others opt for higher studies with GATE, CAT etc.

From the 7th semester, students are allowed to appear for on-campus placements. Amazon, TCS digital, TCS ninja, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys and many other start-ups are offered on-campus. SDE at Microsoft at approx. 42lpa is the highest. and the average is around 4 LPA. About 70% of students are placed. and others choose higher studies than jobs. My plan is to appear for the GATE exam and do MTech.

KGEC offers almost 100 percent placement to its students. TCS, WIPRO, HUL, and Big 4 are a few of the companies that used to come to college for placements. I got passed out from KGEC in 2018 and TCS offered almost 165 offers to its students. The average starting package was almost 5LPA.
