Life at AISSMS IOIT

Likes

One of the important thing which is beneficial to student that our college is autonomous
All the teachers are well experienced and supportive help students to get best opportunity as per their calibere
Every year there are multiple companies visit for placement year by year that number of companies increases

Dislikes

The no.of exams that are taken throughout the semester keep engage to the students continuosly
The college campus is not too large but the entry point view is best
Hostel of the college is not inside the college campus hostel is nearly 3-4 km away from College

Admission:

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process

College is good faculty is very nice for our branch
Faculty has good qualification and is good towards students
Infrastructure is good , campus is huge we have a very big canteen with a backgate

Dislikes

A lot of language barrier because there are many Maharashtrians
Canteen cannot fit more than 100 people and service is slow
Less hangout spots and a very average annual fest

I chose this college because I got selected in the first round itself , admission process is easy you have to apply for cap rounds according to your marks like I took addmission through jee for which cutoff was 56% and for mhtcet it was 76%

Decent Infrastructure: The classrooms are not the normal square. Pathways are like a maze at first but when you get used to it it is pretty fun to make one spot "your meeting place".
Networking opportunities: College provides opportunities and have various clubs for better engagement with peers, seniors, mentors and teachers that can be valueable for career advancement and future collaborations.

Dislikes

Language barrier: Being a Non-Marathi speaker, it is a bit difficult to feel involved at first. Although learning it is in progress and is not a very big issue but still somewhere it is a barrier.
There are ample of engaging opportunities if you search for it and be involved but if you are not involved or eager in leaning and engaging then you might find it less worthy of being present at any event or groups.

Admission:

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam. I gave JEE and scored decent enough to fit the remaining 20% JEE based intakes in AISSMS COE. I am interested in the fiend I chose and look forward to explore myself within it.

College Infrastructure is good. Practical labs are in good condition
Well performance of wifi network in library.
Separate Group for sports. Faculties are too good

Dislikes

College canteen is not good,Need to improve.
College need to imports more cctv in college surrounding
Parking isn't sufficient to park vehicles

I have chosen this college because i got computer branch in aissms in second round of cet. I got selected for vidyalankar Institute of technology for IT branch but i preferred computer in aissms. Placement is overall average . Faculties are good

The ground and campus of the clg is very big. The staff is also good but they need to work on the management of crowd at canteen and xerox centres

Dislikes

The absence of teachers at the time they are needed and delay of submission

The college has better placement facilities and job offers. The campus is good and also the staff and teachers are understanding. Events are held on occasion and are carried out smoothly. Also clg clubs play a imp role in awareness

Likes

Infrastructure and faculty is the main highlight of this college.
Liked the peer group, they're focused and aspire a better placement ahead.
The clubs are also a key highlight of this college

I found the location very much ide for me as I didn't wanted to go in some off side locations nor in hilly areas too. I was willing to take admission in other branch but then I did a bit research and found out that my current course has so much potential.

i applied for aissms ioit and pict too which are known for their better teaching. i received conformation from pict but chose aissms for its specific new field and is also close for me to travel. it has a better campus than pict

the labs are also well equipped with proper equipment for practicals

the people here seem a bit judgy at first
lack of sports for first year students they are told to focus on studies
the breaks are very short and very less in number

It was the only college I could get with my marks it's a good college overall there wasn't any rejection from other colleges as the admission process takes place through cap the admission process here is pretty long
